We call up Barbara Bigelow, a metastatic breast cancer survivor and total powerhouse, who reminds us why women need to advocate for themselves, push for answers, and take charge of their health at any age.

This week, Libby shares the story behind the happiest surprise — she’s pregnant with baby number three! But it wasn’t an easy journey. Over the past year and a half, she’s been through the highs and lows of trying to conceive, the endless ovulation strips, fertility apps, and emotional rollercoasters that come with it , and two miscarriages along the way. Since she is now pregnant & in a good place this, this episode is light yet heart felt.
Libby opens up about how social media posts hit differently during that time, what she learned after meeting with Wellesley Women’s Care, and how lab work revealing low AMH levels (aka very few eggs left) led her to prepare for IVF. Then, in an unexpected twist, she got pregnant naturally, right after a simple procedure to clear her tubes.
This is an honest, raw conversation about hope, loss, and what it means to keep believing when things don’t go according to plan.
If anyone out there is struggling with trying to conceive or pregnancy loss, know that you aren't alone. There is no guidebook to navigating this time, but we can all be there to support and uplift each other.

Welcome back to the BWC and Happy September! We hope you all enjoyed your last week of summer, and are ready to hit the ground running with this new school year! We're recapping our final weeks of summer - cape days and slow days, and how we are transitioning back to school. We discuss the scary part of sending our kids to school (prayers to all those affected in the Minneapolis shooting), and how we want to protect our kids without completely sheltering them. this episode had us LOL'ing from start to finish! Do you ever just feel like you're DONE?! Yeah, well so do we, especially now that we are a little past the midpoint of summer, and ALL rules and structure have been thrown out the window. We definitely vent about how our lives feel completely out of control right now, the type of moms we are right now, and how we plan on getting back on track. Liz gives us some great insight on how she's learned to build trust with her 7 year old, and how empty threats just need to go.

Potty training has always been one of the most asked questions, so we are dedicating the beginning of this episode strictly to what we have done in the past, and what we will do with our 2.5 year olds! We then get into the topic of Delilah starting preschool in the fall, and how hard drop offs can be (Rocco crying his entire year...) and how we deal with that. Then we bring it back to the newborn stage, and Libby discusses how she did not find the transition to motherhood to come naturally.
