"In the words of the infamous Abby Lee Miller, the show must go on!" laments Christi, as it's another week at the Barre without our illustrious Bitch #2.
Unfortunately Kelly is back in the hospital this week; we're wishing her a speedy recovery as always. But in the meantime we want to keep the lights on at the Barre so we can continue to help support Kelly as best we can. So while we organize and bring on some additional guests, Intern Matt has continued to sort through all your comments to find the best questions for Christi to answer for an impromptu Q&A. During our last Q&A we managed to get some pretty juicy tea out of Christi, will this batch hold such riches?
More importantly, will Matt find a way around his supposed potty mouth? Actually, does Matt really have that much more of a potty mouth than our beloved Bitches!? Some of you seem to think so it seems! So let's see if the good Dr. cant strike a balance between holy s**t and gee willickers!

"I can't imagine you're watching Dance Moms every night, you know for fun!" Christi remarks to Ed Phelan, an OG Dance Moms choreographer who returns to the Barre this week after a two year hiatus to check-in on Christi and Kelly as they tackle Season 4's "No More Crybabies". With Nationals quickly approaching Abby begins to shift focus on to who will be getting solos
and whose going to be left on the sidelines. She assigns Mackenzie, Select team member Tea, and Sarah H solos to see who will get cut from consideration. Though Abby does Sarah H no favors by giving her a dance centered around the Holocaust of all things! It wasn't about that once the episode aired, but it must have been fun explaining that one to the kids!
But Abby is more worried about the fact the ALDC is slated to compete against Ava at this week's competition, which inspires the classic Abby move of, "What if I surprise added Maddie to the line-up?!" which she's certain everyone will like! Shockingly Maddie's inclusion doesn't earn Abby any goodwill, and instead works to only encourage the other moms to turn on Melissa who allowed her other daughter to be upstaged.

"Kelly is grounded until further notice," commands Christi, and with good reason. Unfortunately not long after recording our last episode, Kelly found herself back in the hospital dealing with another medical emergency. So in the spirit of keeping her healthy she'll be taking this week off while we do a Q&A! Covering for Kelly this week is Intern Matt, who has scoured through all of your messages to try and formulate an ideal Christi Q&A for you all. No duds, we promise!
Topics include everything from which cast member does Christi wish never entered the picture, thoughts on Holly and Jill sticking it out until the end of the she, and even more tea that has yet to be spilt after 4 seasons of episodes! Tune-in for these topics and much more on a very entertaining trip to the Barre.

"The good news is I'm a giant twat in this episode. You didn't look very happy."
That's right bitches, we're back! Kelly is on her road to recovery (no fun at all if you ask us), and we're back with a full breakdown of "Chloe Gets Revenge". This week Abby is pitting the ALDC's two teams against each other once again, but she's switching up the formula. Chloe is transferred to the Select Team and the OG's gain Jade. But Abby of course has no intention of letting Chloe win and steal the limelight from Maddie, and it starts to become clear to the Select Team for the first time that maybe Abby doesn't have their best interests at heart. This becomes even more apparent int he solo categories where Ava gets saddled with an unruly prop that tanks any possibility of her competing fairly with Maddie.
To further boost Maddie's profile, Abby brings on Rachel sage to present Maddie with a new original song written specifically for her... except it wasn't written for her as that's just another classic lie to help juice Abby's ego. But will all this pay off for Abby, or will the Select Team prevail for a third week... and actually should it even matter to Abby as long as she has a winning team?

This week as Kelly continues to recover from her recent surgery, we here at Back to the Barre wanted to find something to lighten the mood a little. Well knowing our fanbase fairly well by this point we know it's always fun to listen to the moms scream at, yell at, or fight one another! Four seasons in and we've gotten quite good at it with alarming reliability, but what are the cream of the crop fights? Well we've decided to round up our best Dance Moms fight segments into one episode for a special Clip Show-edition of Back to the Barre.
We have fights that go all the way back to Episode 1, when Minister Dawn was stirring up trouble. But what Season had the most classic fights? And more importantly, which one was the most quotable? Tune-in to find out!

This week Kelly is recovering from a recent surgery, so we'd thought it be fun in the meantime to release another classic Back to the Barre After Party! This After Party was attached to our episode "Paige Doesn't Have Rabies!" which covered Season 2 Episode 18. Topics include what drinks were really in those cups (or better yet what was in the McDonalds cups), Mardi Gras, and the origin of our Favorite Dance segment!

"Abby's like, 'I'm just exhausted from dealing with moms, problems, and psychos. I'm thinking you and me are the psychos.'" jokes Kelly, who can't help but take a few strays even when she isn't there anymore!
It's the second half of "Abby-phobic" and the ALDC is coming face to face with Studio Bleu at Imagine National Dance Challenge. Jade and Chloe prep their solos, but Abby and Gia have fallen behind on giving Chloe the rest of her choreography. Ontop of that, Chloe accidentally smacks Maddie, sending Abby into a tizzy and putting Christi on the defensive. Lauree is also mad with Abby as she believes Jade is being set-up to fail and begins to question their involvement on the team.
Studio Bleu proves to be a force to be reckoned with, as it becomes increasingly clear the ALDC might simply be a little too young to stand a chance in the teen division. But the moms can't help but wonder if Abby hadn't chickened out at the possibility of Maddie losing, if their original group dance might have had a shot at winning. But do the girls' dances hold up to 11 years later? Did their talents deserve more recognition?

"It is Season 4 Episode 24, and it's called Abby-phobic. Hhhhmmmm, I'm Abby-phobic." remarks Christi, and considering the raw deal Chloe gets this week that Abby-phobia is going to be out in full force soon enough.
This week the girls are set to attend Imagine National Dance Challenge, a competition primarily set-up to avoid having the ALDC at the standard Star dance Alliance Competitions. This does however mean the ALDC is set to face off against Studio Bleu, Abby's worst nightmare. She panics and throws out the current group dance, convinced they're going to lose no matter what and so as to not waste another competition's sure-fire winning dance. Instead, Abby begins to focus on the pre-teen categories so as to avoid competing with Studio Bleu all-together. But will the team have time to figure out a new routine in time for competition?
Abby is also intent on propping up Maddie whenever possible as the Chandelier coverage has been heating up. In case Maddie needs to fly to LA at a moments notice, Jade from the Select Team is brought in as a temporary team member and Mackenzie is benched to age up the group overall.. Loree, Jade's mom, is worried over Abby's handling of the group routine. Christi is also annoyed that due to Abby's fear of Studio Bleu, Chloe will be forced to compete with Jade in solos despite their age difference.

"Yep, Abby was barking in the audience. And that's one of those moments were I'm like, I live in the Twilight Zone." Unfortunately for Christi she lives on Earth, and unfortunately for you that cringe-inducing moment didn't make the final cut of "3 Soloists, One Star". Thankfully the producers notes have pulled through once again and preserved this little barking episode for us!
Something unfortunately not on the cutting room floor is Christy, though not for long! Sarah H doesn't receive a costume because she wasn't initially participating in the group dance, but Abby says they've already ordered one for her and it's on the way. But Christy takes issue with this and takes Abby to task for not having a costume ready. The consequences are swift and Sarah H is dropped form the group number. She'll be allowed to rejoin the group if she attend the competition without her mother, but Christy is not prepared to let that happen.
Meanwhile the soloists are prepped and ready to. Chloe and Kendall are given a chance to shine for once, Kendall reaping the benefits of her Maddie choreography. Meanwhile Nia is still a dog! Will Nia be able to overcome her canine predicament? Tune-in to find out!

"Should we have everybody drink every time someone says the word Maddie in this episode? Cause it's a lot!" The funny thing is Maddie isn't even present for most of the first half of "3 Soloists, One Star", but it's Maddie's world and we're just living in it. Maddie is away in Los Angeles, reaping the rewards of her newfound additional fame thank to the Sia music video. In the meantime Abby is forced to offer someone else the usual Maddie solo, and Kendall wins out as the most likely candidate. However to appear fair Abby spreads the wealth by offering more solos than usual, but is it really fair if she intentionally gives the other girls losing routines?
What marks a losing routine? Well how about giving Nia a solo and having her dress and bark like a dog in the most demeaning way possible? That sounds like a recipe for disaster, and if you're Holly then it sounds even worse because there's no circumstance in which Abby is not going to make poor Nia bark.

"Wouldn't we all like tot ell her to shut up? I'd like to tell her to shut up!" says Kelly of Christy, who only a few episodes in is already starting to test Kelly's patience. But just about everyone else is testing the ALDC's patience on the second half of "Kiss or Get Off the Pot", mostly Abby for continuing to make everyone uncomfortable.
It's the day of competition and the girls are primed to steal the show. Cathy's team might have the better dance, but at In10city the ALDC is always favored regardless. So Abby's focus falls primarily on Maddie and Gino's duet, paying extra attention they nail their kiss. It's clear Maddie is still uncomfortable with being asked to kiss Gino, yet somehow Abby manages to make it even more uncomfortable somehow! Christy however is preoccupied with fighting with Mickey over Gino's place on the team.
Tune-in as well this week to hear some juicy behind the scenes insults that didn't make the final cut of the episode!

"It was the most unhinged 15 minutes I've ever witnessed in my life," recounts Christi in reference to "The Sandwich Incident". But the incident happened entirely off-screen! It's one of Christi's most cherished Dance Moms memories, one she has thought about monthly for over a decade! So on the first half of "Kiss or Get Off the Pot", come for Abby's insistence of making children do things they're uncomfortable with, stay for a classic behind the scenes Abby meltdown.
The Select team is out this week so the production doesn't have to pay them, but Sarah H and Christy stick around to claim the top spot on the Pyramid. The rest of the placements seem arbitrary at best, Abby is mostly upset that the girls cried after coming in second. The moms point out their attitude probably had more to do with their teacher making a separate team to upstage them after they were on a long win streak.
Abby announces they're going to be going head to head once again with Cathy at In10city Dance in Ohio. To spite Cathy she enlists the help of Gino, one of Cathy's former dancers, to perform a duet with Maddie. While the pairing was obviously designed with Maddie, Abby holds auditions for the duet to give the appearance of fairness, but ends up just insulting most of the girls until she arrives at Maddie anyways. Maddie does not like that Abby is insisting she kiss Gino for the performance as it'll be her first kiss, but Abby seems dead set on making it happen for some reason.
The other thing Abby is dead set on is making it clear she was on Dancing with the Stars. Not only does she keep bringing it up, but she even themes the group dance around it!

"Alright, so this is going to descend into hell very quickly," remarks Christi as the inevitable confrontation between the moms and the Select team comes to fruition on the second half of "Double the Moms, Double the Trouble". The teams arrive at Sheer Talent and Abby's differing treatment of the two teams becomes more visually apparent as the girls receive their costumes. The Select team is blessed with intricate outfits while, as Holly puts it, the Elite team got stuck with $10 pajamas. But Abby continues to downplay and excuse the circumstances, though is more than happy to celebrate the Elite team playing second fiddle to her new dancers as the Select team takes first.
The moms are content to say congratulations and walk away, but Production is not content to let our moms off the hook (not so long as there is drama to be had). The new moms attempts to stir the pot even manage to set Holly off, which the edit manages to frame as Holly getting mad at Maddie somehow! It's a rough episode as always, but we have a lot more behind the scenes facts that should shed some light on how rough it really was.

"I just want to point out we're already 40 minutes in and we're not done with Pyramid. Guys the tea is hot the season." It certainly says something that the first episode of Season 4B is so am packed with things to talk about that we still had to cover this episode over two weeks! But don't fret our little Bitchettes, because we have more behind the scenes to talk about than ever before thanks to the Producer's notes being leaked back in the day. So if you didn't think our tea was hot enough already as is then you haven't seen anything yet. And "Double the Moms,
Double the Trouble" is an episode you'll want the tea for as things quickly heat up with the Select Team.
Christy emerges as an annoying voice of reason amongst the new moms, in that she's right about everything but can't find a way not to be annoying! In the previous competition Abby meddled with the scoring so that Chloe would lose, and only Christy seems to find that odd. The rest of the Select Moms are more concerned Abby hasn't gotten rid of Christy, and Tami insists her daughter is ready to take Sarah H's solo if Abby changes her mind. In turn Christy insists that she and Tami throw hands and a fight ensues. things get messy fairly quickly, but do they get kicked out of the ALDC or get the cops called on them? Of course not! If Abby is consistent about one thing it's being inconsistent with how she applies the the ALDC rules.

"We could have done Chloe vs. Maddie but we've talked about everything ad nauseam about that rivalry so who wants to sit and listen to us again?" Yes after two reunion episodes we get a ol' clipshow covering material that's already worn out its welcome. So instead of slogging through that we're going to ump ahead to the next episode... which is still kind of a clipshow but it's different enough! Abby takes center stage as she counts down her top 10 ALDC dances, with the full uncut dances featured!
It's a good enough excuse to walk down memory lane, plus plenty of Abby's picks match Christi and Kelly's own. But there are certain selections that will leave you scratching your head, and Abby's reasonings don't always tell the whole story. So join us as we re-examine some of the girl's finest work.

"What's been the highlight of your life so far, nine year old?!" It's time for yet another reunion episode... it feels like we get more every season! But this time around it's no moms allowed for the first Girl's Only Reunion. Jeff Collins asks the girls a series of questions taken from twitter, though it may not shock you to realize most of them were secretly drafted by production. This episode also marked the final appearances of both Asia and Payton.
We have thoughts on all of these question as well as the sheer absurdity of what didn't make it to air. Plus Vivi makes a appearance this episode, so you know it's going to be a funny one!

“I didn’t really think about that I was going to be brought up,” laments Kelly, who forgot that even though she’s out for the count doesn’t mean she gets out of being the main subject of Season 4’s first reunion. I mean how could Abby possibly turn down a chance to celebrate her getting her way?
Jeff Collins welcomes Abby to the stage and they cover what a hard time it’s been for Abby with the loss of her mother, making Abby the last surviving member of her family. She espouses about the need to be able to cry and work through your feeling when you’re dealing with loss, though this is not a courtesy she often extends to others. The topic switches to the slap heard around the world, and Abby exclaims that while she can be harsh she didn’t deserve to be treated like that.
Enter Christ, who points out that Abby was being aggressive and instigated the fight. While Abby takes offense to the assertion, Jeff believes the situation has brought the moms together and Christi herself seems somewhat more emboldened than she was prior. Though as Christi notes, that’s not really the case at all, they’re just more targets for Abby to refocus her energy on.
Jeff attempts to bring Melissa out to challenge Christi on her assertions that Maddie lied about the solo incident, but Christi snaps and walks off stage. She is determined not to be set up to fail alone and brings in the rest of the moms as back up. Will the moms be able to patch up some of their differences… I mean is Santa real?! Also Cathy is here for good measure, because what would a reunion be without a little candy apple treat!

Get Season Two of Pillow Talk HERE:
"Consistently across the board these are becoming increasingly hard for me to watch," says Christi for what might be the millionth time since Kelly departed the show, but she's also nothing if consistent! And as the second half of "Presenting My New Team" begins the new moms and the OG's are already at each other's throats, or at the very least Christy is making enemies with just about everyone including her fellow new recruits. The only solace the team gets from Christy is going to a "bar" where she won't go due to the alcohol. However Kira and Tracey are unable to reconcile their differences and the meeting ends in tears. Meanwhile Melissa is trying to play both sides, pledging loyalty to the OG's while still not willing to spy on the Elite team for them.
Competition day arrives and the ALDC dances are all over the place. Kendall and Kalani's "Rule the World" lands with a thud while Ava and Sarah R's "Birds of a Feather Flock Together" gets a mild reception. Better off are Kamryn and Chloe's solos which perform exceptionally well. Chloe's "Lucky Star" remains a favorite, showcasing how much work she put in to prove herself in a team where she's being increasingly singled out as a target. However, behind the scenes Abby was working to once again pull the spotlight off a Chloe. On camera Abbys sabotage is clearly visible in the team's dueling group dances. Not only does the Elite team get the benefit of having lyrical dance, but the OG's are forced to dance in boots!
Oh and if that wasn't enough, Cathy joins the fray. Why is she present when her team isn't performing? Because why not!

Get Season Two of Pillow Talk HERE:
"Who let me talk on television!?" ponders Christi. Though now with a whole new Elite Team of moms she certainly won't have to worry about saying the worst possible thing this week! Yes Abby has finally assembled her Junior Elite Team including: Sarah Hunt and mom Christy, Ava Cota and mom Jeanette, Jade Cloud and mom Loree, Sarah Reasons and mom Tracey, Tealynn (Tea) Adamson and mom Tami, and Kamryn Beck and mom Jodi. Joining them will be Maddie, because Abby is determined for the new team to dominate and Maddie can't lose.
Tensions flare up quickly, though in an unlikely turn of events it's Kalani who comes out against the moms. As it turns out she has some history with Tracy and Sarah, referring to them as Arizona trash. Before things get too out of hand, Abby begins to pair off the new girls with the OG girls. This way each division gets two ALDC competitors and she can force the girls to compete against one another. The pairs are Chloe/Kamryn, Ava/Kendall, Nia/Sarah R, Tea+Sarah H/Mackenzie, and Kalani/Jade.
With a competition in Ohio just around the corner it's time to get all the numbers in shape. But will the new moms manage to get along while the girls are hard at work? Well if you're Christy (with a Y) you can always call on the Lord to rebuke those moms you don't get along with. As Holly points out, Abby's perfect team is already not quite working.
