More people watch YouTube on their televisions than any other streaming service, including Netflix, Disney+, or Amazon’s Prime Video. However, despite a wide embrace from the public, as well as high-profile original programming from hosts and creators like Sean Evans, Amelia Dimoldenberg, and the Good Mythical Morning duo of Rhett and Link, the Television Academy has largely overlooked YouTube shows in its Emmy consideration. Challenge Accepted host Michelle Khare hopes that it will change sooner rather than later. Khare’s nonfiction series is being submitted this year in the Best Hosted Nonfiction Series or Special category, alongside past winners such as David Letterman (My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman) and Stanley Tucci (Tucci in Italy). Listen to Michelle discuss her work with Awards Magnet host Christopher Rosen.
