Today my guest is author, speaker, advocate, and pastor’s wife, Kay Warren. We talk all about their unlikely beginning and early days of marriage to the foundation and work that goes into over 4 decades of life and ministry alongside one another. She tenderly shares how even in the darkest of times through being diagnosed with breast cancer and most recently, the loss of their beloved son Matthew to suicide, how faith in God and the choice to cling to one another got them through. You will laugh and cry and most of all see God in a fresh and new way as Kay shares her faith, love, and wisdom. 

Kay cofounded Saddleback Church with her husband, Rick Warren, in Lake Forest, California, in 1980. After the death of her son, Matthew, she founded Saddleback's Hope for Mental Health Initiative. Kay is a board member of the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention. She is the author of “Sacred Privilege,” “Choose Joy,” and “Say Yes to God.”
