Astrologer, author educator Alex Trenoweth welcomes Matthew Currie to explore the astrology behind two true-story films: Catch Me If You Can (Frank Abagnale Jr. portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio) and Communion (Whitley Strieber portrayed by Christopher Walken).
Astrologer–educator Alex Trenoweth welcomes Steve Judd to unpack the biopic A Beautiful Mind. Using the REEL Life format from Mirror Mirror, we explore:
John Nash’s natal chart — core signatures and themes
Russell Crowe’s chart — why this role fits
Synastry — where Nash ↔ Crowe connect (and clash)
Release transits — timing that met the audience
We also compare The Imitation Game (Alan Turing ↔ Benedict Cumberbatch) to show how casting synastry and release timing echo across biopics.
In this episode of Astrology & Cinema in Reel Life, Alex Trenoweth is joined by astrologer Margaret Gray to explore the life and artistry of the legendary soprano Maria Callas in the biographical film "Maria". Together they weave biography, astrology, and cinema, looking at how Callas’ chart reflects both her triumphs and her struggles.
We discuss the film portrayal of Callas, the synastry between the real-life icon and the actress, and the astrological transits that shaped key moments in her career. It’s a rich conversation that brings astrology into dialogue with art, music, and the power of performance.
If you love film, biography, and astrology, you’ll enjoy this deep dive into the star power of Maria Callas.
