**TRIGGER WARNING** Eating Disorders
This week on the podcast I discuss the topic of Eating Disorder and Diabulimia with my new friends Edie and Ronan. Edie is our Type 1 this week and was recently made an ambassador for the Eating Disorders Association of Northern Ireland before realizing she had gone through Diabulimia as a teenager while attending boarding school. Ronan is Edie's Partner and our Type None for this conversation and was there during Edie's realization of her experience with Diabulimia. Ronana tells us about the perspective he gained on his own mental health through helping Edie through hers. It's a serious episode for sure but a hopeful one nonetheless. If you or anyone you know is struggling with an eating disorder, please consider reaching out the resources below.

Oh hey Type 1s and Nones! Diabetes Awareness Month might be over but that doesn't mean there aren't still more Diabetes conversations to be had. And this week on Ask Me About My Type 1 we're busting the oldest of Type 1 Myths because it's about time someone did (again)! We're talking about the old betes adage, "You can do anything with Diabetes!". And to help me talk about how true this statement IS NOT, I have with me Abbie and Anna. Abbie is our Type 1 guest for a second time this month and tells us more about how Type 1 kept her from the career in music that she had grown up dreaming of. In the Type None seat this week is Abbie's friend from college Anna who joins us as an artist currently pursuing a career in music to tell us the truth about how difficult it is to make it in the music industry even when you don't have Type 1.

ANOTHER EPISODE?!?!? That's right Type 1ers and Noners. Ask Me About My Type 1 is here for the second time in just as many days and we're going to the movies!!! This week is all about the very bad and kinda of good but mostly bad portrayals of Diabetes in tv and film. And to talk with me about the not good, the bad, and the really really ugly of Diabetes tv and film I have on Kelsey and Lucy, writers and actresses themselves who are doing their part to cure the industry of their terrible Diabetes portrayals. Kelsey has written a feature comedy script inspired by her life with Type 1 and friend of the show Lucy, a Type None guest from all the way back in Season 1, comes back to sit in the Type None seat again because she's currently developing a tv series where she hopes to play a Type 1 character based on her experiences growing up with her Type 1 sister Maggie.

Hey again Type 1s and Nones!!! Ask Me About My Type 1 is back for a second episode this week and we're continuing the conversation around identity and how it relates to Queerness and Chronic Illness. I sit down with Mallory again, who some of you may remember as a Type 1 guest from all the way back in Season 1 Episode 3, and Amanda, our Type None guest who just so happens to live with Ehlers-Danlos Sydnrome. Mallory and Amanda share what they've been able to learn about themselves as people navigating the world as both Queer and Chronically Ill.

Hey Type 1s and Nones! National Diabetes Awareness Month is winding down but before it ends I wanted to feature another community within our own Diabetes community and as you might have guessed it's the Queer Type 1 Community! To do that this week I have on Greta and Amrei to discuss how Type 1 and Queer identity can intersect, the parallels between the two experiences, and the importance of language when talking about them. Greta tells us about how what came about from her search for Queer Type 1s like herself online and Amrei asks about Greta's experiences being a double minority.

SURPRISE!!! Ask Me About My Type 1 is back with a second episode for Type None week Type 1s and Nones!!! This time I'm joined by Scott and Rachael, the Type 1 and Type None director team behind the currently in production feature length documentary Pay Or Die. Pay Or Die The Documentary is an inside look at how the soaring price of insulin in America is threatening—and even taking—the lives of people living with Type 1 Diabetes. Scott shares with us his take on directing a film about the dire cost of the insulin affordability crisis in the United States as a Type 1 and Rachael, our Type None guest, shares how she helped Scott understand how best to reach their Type None audience. This is a powerful one that you are not going to want to miss, People!!!

Hey Type 1ers and Type Noners!!! Ask Me About My Type 1 is back and this week it's about the Nones! I finally have a Type None guest on during National Diabetes Awareness Month and she did not disappoint. This week on the podcast I have Antoinette from Diabaddie Organization back on along with her Type None friend and Diabaddie marketing coordinator, Artrice to share with us the truly amazing things that can happen when Type 1s and Type Nones join forces. Because frankly, it's about time we brought those people with fully functioning pancreases we call Type Nones in on all the advocating and awareness building going on this month.

We're back Type 1s and Nones!!! And with the hawt hawt takes about the evils of pharma money and what they seem to be doing to our beloved Diabetes Orgs. Abbie, Maddy, Sierra and I, continue to tell the all the orgs, who I am positively sure are totally listening to this, exactly what we think of the current state of Type 1 advocacy in addition to sharing even more about the extensive influence that the Pharmaceutical Industry has in the US government and where we see the Diabetes community going from here. Because it's National Diabetes Awareness Month: do you know what your Diabetes Orgs are getting into on your behalf?!?!?!

Happy National Diabetes Awareness Month Type 1s and Nones! And OH MY, do I have just the episode to celebrate it with!!! This week it's all about the spiciest topic I've discussed on the podcast to date: whether or not diabetes advocacy groups should be taking money from the insulin manufacturers? Now personally I don't see there being much of a debate with this topic SO I decided to just talk about why I don't think diabetes groups should be taking pharma money and invited some Type 1s on to talk about it with me. On this ALL Type 1 guest episode of Ask Me About My Type 1 I have on Abbie, Maddy, and Sierra who share with me all the reasons why they think pharma money is so very bad and the very clear conflict of interest present when it is taken by Diabetes advocacy groups.

Type 1s and Nones!!! It's the finale of the finale. That's right! Part 4, the final installment of the Ask Me About My Type 1 Season 3 Finale Special the Series is here! This very special episode is the live recording of the Connected In Motion Virtual Slipstream Workshop that I did a couple months back. Here I share why I think sharing our Type 1 stories is so important along with some tips on how you can do it yourself! In addition to my TedTalk I was also lucky enough to find three Type 1 volunteers, friend of the show Jordan (S2Ep.1) and new friends Katie and Sarah, who helped me open up the conversation based on their varied experiences with that thing we call Type 1. I had a lot of fun with this and I hope it gives you some sort of insight into your Type 1 experience. Thank you all again so much for this very special season of Ask Me About My Type 1!!! See y'all for Season 4!!!

Oh hi Type 1s and Nones!!! I'm back AGAIN this week and this time with Part 3 of the Ask Me About My Type 1 Season 3 Finale Special Series!!! On this very special episode Lexie, Lauren, Qiana, and Antoinette come back and share with us their thoughts on the posts that everyone in the Diabetic Online Community is talking about right now. Recent happenings on social media brought to light major issues within the Type 1 Community that quite frankly aren't new, but need to be addressed. Because while the discussions many of us in the Type 1 Community are now having may have been inspired by a post on social media, the problems they represent go much much deeper. Thank you again to Lexie, Lauren, Qiana, and Antoinette for their help with this episode.

This one is going out to all the Type 1 Moms. And this week Ask Me About My Type 1 means that in every sense of the phrase. Because not only do we have a Type None guest who is Mom to a Type 1 daughter, we also have our Type 1 guest who has a two year old of her own. Type 1 guest Marci tells us all about her experiences after her Type 1 pregnancy and what parenting as Type 1 has taught her. Marci's friend and our Type None guest, Lindsay, is your typical Type 1 mom who manages her daughter's Type 1 along side her husband who ALSO lives with Type 1. Strangely enough this episode became the mostly highly Type 1 concentrated I've had to date and for reasons that you'll just have to hear to believe. So be on your best behavior and don't eat Mom's low snacks because it's all about the parenting with and for Type 1 on this episode of Ask Me About My Type 1.
