Hey guys! It's Livia and Chloe here, tune in to Artists in pyjamas to hear us talk and laugh about our struggles and successes living in London as artists. We met at the Royal College of Art in 2019 and became best friends nearly instantly. Our shared passion for textile, colour, and public engagement made us eager to collaborate. Together we create installations, workshops, and podcasts with the aim to create a community of like-minded creatives who want to support one another.
We graduated from our Textile MA back in June 2021 and have worked hard since to make our dream of working as full-time artists a reality. This journey comes with many lows and highs, but together we can create a safe and open place to share the realities of an artist's life!

Today we are pleased to share with you a brilliant discussion we had with the fabulous artist Pei-Chi Lee in her studio at Batch Studio in Hackney. Pei-Chi is an interdisciplinary artist whose work explores the relationship between play and well-being, looking particularly at the public sphere. She graduated from the RCA in 2019 and has worked since as an installation artist, design researcher, and illustrator, based between UK and Taiwan.
We met Pei-Chi Lee last year when we exhibited during London Craft week with the Soft collective and have been admirers of her work since then! This episode is so open and honest, and a great insight into the life of a young emerging artist with great tips and advice along the way.
You can follow her work on Instagram at @pepperchilee and check her website https://pepperchilee.com/Info.

This week we share with you a brilliant interview we had the honor to do with Alice Bunhope in her studio at Cockpit art in Deptford. Alice is an award-winning textile artist, specializing in user experience, socially-engaged artwork, and sustainist design. She works with discarded fabrics to address the current imbalance between material use, waste, and the effect on the natural environment.
Alice is full of positivity and inspiration in this episode, we hope you feel empowered to continue your own journey after listening to her!
