Art Next Door is a podcast series featuring the independent art scene in Berlin, hosted by Tuçe Erel. It started as a bi-weekly radio program on Keith F'eM in July 2020. Between January 2021 and February 2022, the program took place monthly. In each radio program, there were two interviews. Since March 2022, due to lack of time and precarious position, Tuçe cannot continue the series but it is a dream to continue. In this episode of Art Next Door, I am happy to welcome my dear friends, Julia Brunner and Stefan Endewardt, who are the organizers of Kotti-Shop, located in Kottbusser Tor. Stefan was one of the first people I met in the project space / free scene in Berlin. I remember having a lovely conversation with Stefan at Kotti-Shop in 2016. In this episode, I learned a lot about the story of Kotti-Shop and their entanglement of socially engaged art, artist-run space, and artistic practice.
