I remember walking into a small gym in Waterbury, CT in September of 2005. I look over to the far court and see this athletic freak grabbing every rebound and tap dunking ever offensive rebound! Come to find out this freak of nature would be my teammate for the next year and a half! This outstanding hooper brings his roots from Nigeria but was raised in Uniondale, NY. As an early hooper playing against the Long Island competition, this high flyer quickly made a name for himself by bringing energy, enthusiasm, and DUNKING everything! While hooping at Uniondale High School, his name started to ring bells around the city! After a stellar high school career, this 6’6 stud garnered a D2 scholarship to play at Post University in Waterbury, CT! Stepping on the campus of Post University in the fall of 2004 the CACC(Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference) was put on notice quickly that Post University added an athletic, above the rim player that is an exceptional rebounder! While at Post, this brother went on to garner 2 All-CACC selections, scored 1,000 points and his game just continued to grow! After completing his collegiate career he went on to play professionally in Saudi-Arabia, Mexico, Peru, and Argentina! While in Mexico he averaged 17 points and 7 rebounds a game while shooting 59% from the field! Tap in for Ep. 81 as we welcome Uniondale great and basketball lifer, Mr. Peter Lawal to the show! Great conversation ahead, don’t miss!
