Authority in Action
In this insightful and theologically rich sermon, MK unpacks Matthew 9:1-8 with three core truths: Point one, you can’t do Christianity alone. Point two, only Jesus does what God can do. Point three, Jesus has authority to forgive sin because He is God. From there, MK dives into five reasons why Christ’s forgiveness is so vital: 1) Forgiveness is humanity’s deepest need. 2) His authority to forgive proves His divine identity. 3) No other religious system offers forgiveness through the personal act of God. 4) Salvation is found exclusively in Jesus. 5) His forgiveness brings not only pardon, but reconciliation with God and the promise of eternal life.
