It is impossible to teach and encourage people to discern by the spirit if you don't teach them and demonstrate to them the Holy Spirit. If you don't discern by the Holy Spirit, the only other option you have, which is what most people use, is carnal judgement. One thing we always loved about Apostle Ball was his practical approach to living a Kingdom Life. Revelation that is not practical is not much help to someone in need. Revelation that is not practical may not be revelation at all. The Holy Spirit comes to live in us to make us wise, sharp, full of good ideas, full of love and discipline. He comes to make us kind and a sign and wonder to a hurting world around us. The grace Yahweh gives to us when we are saved and baptized in the Holy Spirit gives us the ability to overcome sin and overcome our carnal nature in order to live out a life that is representative and honoring to Him. Grace is not a license to walk in sin and in your old ways and have no conviction or consequences for your actions. Otherwise we are no different from the world we live in. Matthew 5:17&20  says "Yeshua came not to destroy the law but to fulfill it. For unless your righteousness exceeds that righteousness of the Scribes and the Pharisees, you will by no means enter into the Kingdom of Heaven."

"It has been the church that has concocted the idea that somehow you can know Yeshua as savior and then at some point down the road decide whether or not you will make Him Lord. That just is not bible. "Man has rejected his relationship with Yahweh, he has rejected revelation truth for what he can see, sense, taste, touch, and handle. The intercessor is someone who addresses social disorder but he does it through the Spirit. In Romans 8, Paul says 'We know not what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit makes intercession for us according to the word of Yahweh'.  In Ephesians 6, Paul describes the armor of God and in verse 17 says 'And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit...'. - F Nolan Ball from his message titled "The Call to Intercession."

"John the Babtist said 'I baptize you with water, but there is another, Yeshua the Christ who will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.' It is an immersing and anointing of Yahweh. You have got to have the cleansing of the blood, be born again, and then you can receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Water baptism immerses the outside but it doesn't work like the anointing and filling we receive from the Holy Spirit. In the 19th chapter of Acts, Paul approaches the disciples in Ephesus and asks them -  'Have you received the Holy Spirit since you believed?' They did not know about the Holy Spirit so He explained to them, laid hands on them, and they were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke with tongues. Acts 5:32 says that Yahweh gives the Holy Spirit to those that obey Him. Salvation alone does not take care of all the problems in your life.
