Happy Halloween!! This week we talk about Halloween and how we celebrate it. From when we were kids, all the way to this year’s plans. We talk about how we mapped out our trick or treating and how it helps us give our girls the best Halloween experience as they grow up. It’s safe to say that this is our favorite holiday, so it being here is bitter sweet. Now let the countdown to next year begin!
Today we take a trip over to the Sweetest Place on Earth, Hershey Park, to see everything Halloween they have to offer. We have been going to Hershey Park for more years than we can remember and it’s always been a favorite of ours since day one. This year, Dark Nights at Hershey Park did not disappoint. From all the Halloween family fun during the day to all of the scares at night, we had a blast from open to close. Starting at Chocolate World and the trick-or-treat trail and ending with the 5 Haunts and 4 scare zones (and Slider Showcase!), Hershey Park continues to step their Halloween game up!
Today we say Happy Birthday to Greg! We celebrate his birthday by talking all about our experience over at Ridgewood Asylum in Brooklyn, NY. This one is on the newer side, but man, do they know what they are doing. From the escape room aspect to the amazing actors, you really shouldn’t wait any longer to get over there. This really is one of the most unique Haunts with how interactive and original it is. We really can not wait to see how much bigger and better (even though that seems impossible!) they will get. So make sure you get over to there before Halloween, as it is the most fun you will ever have walking through an Asylum!
Two weeks until Halloween! To celebrate we took a trip over to Oasis Island of Terror. This has been a favorite of ours for almost 10 years. From their detailed audio, immersive scenes and perfectly timed scares… this will always have a special places in our nightmares. With some festive additions this year, Oasis continues to amaze us.
This episode we continue our very busy haunt season and head over to the Conover Killings. It wouldn’t be Halloween season if we didn’t go and visit our good friend (and complete psychopath), Jonathan. This is one haunt that starts before you even park your car! It’s safe to say this year there were some great additions made by Jonathan. From some very strategically placed fencing to a very fun looking slide, there was definitely a lot of work put in. Let’s not forget Jonathan’s friends and all the chaos they create as well! Greg explains the Conover Killings in basketball terms and somehow makes it make sense! Go check it out and do not forget to say hello to the farm dog, Hamilton! (Alex’s favorite)
In today’s episode we discuss this year at Brookdale’s Haunted Theater. With the new theme of “Wide Awake”, it’s safe to say there was no chance of falling asleep! Not when the sandman is after you and there are some amazing details to look for! As always we love everything Brookdale’s Haunted Theater brings to their walkthrough, from the props, actors and extremely clever way to make something ordinary look like something completely amazing and different. We also couldn’t forget to say hello to our girl Addy and wish her a Happy 10th Birthday!
We are back once again with another haunt episode! This time we walk you through our experience at Waldorf Estate of Fear. Being the filming place of the Hell House movie franchise, it’s creepy right off the bat. Especially with one of the greatest scare actors around (greeter/doorman). Then add in some horror icons, zombies and slaughterhouse crazies… this one never disappoints! In each of its 4 attractions, you're in for interactiveness like never before. If you’re in the New York area this haunt is a bit of a drive, BUT we promise it’s worth it.
This episode we talk about our visit to Hotel of Horror. We breakdown everything we experienced from meeting the owners, Dan and Marlo , to walking through their amazing haunt. There are some rooms that will stick with us forever (white room, Christmas room - iykyk) and some scenes and areas that just amazed us or gave us chills! We loved all of the details that get put into Hotel of Horror, especially the nods to its classic roots. We were surprised with how long of an attraction this was and can not wait to see what else they come up with in the future!
In this episode we talk about our experience visiting Kevin McCurdy’s Haunted Mansion for their 49th year! After years of our nephews begging us to take them to their first ever haunt, we figured what better way to start their haunted house obsession than with a visit to Kevin McCurdy’s! From how immersive it is, making you feel like you’re a part of the story, to all of the amazing actors and props. This is one haunt that never disappoints.
We kick off our 2025 haunt season with a haunt that we have somehow never done before. We visited Valley of Fear for their media night and got a behind the scenes look at a lot of what goes into a night of scaring. Valley of Fear is celebrating their 35th year and we can see why they have been around so long! From amazing makeup artists to well thought out kills, they did not disappoint. We were able to visit some movie icons and board a larger than life pirate ship. This was one of the most interactive haunts we have done in a while and we can’t wait to see where they go from here! It’s safe to say Valley of Fear set the bar high for our 2025 haunt season.
Happy October… and welcome to the month of double episodes!! This week, we start off with an episode all about Everitt Farms and our day experiencing everything they have to offer. From a Peanuts themed corn maze and a corn pit with mini excavators, to a hula hoop contest and amazing caricature drawings, this place has it all. We were even able to add on an old school 1900’s train ride on the Black River and Western Railroad to and from the farm! Make sure to make this one a Halloween family tradition and don’t leave without getting some good pumpkins to carve!
In this week’s episode, we are once again joined by Rob from Conover Killings to once again, officially kick off the 2025 Halloween season! Rob tells us all about the 4th year of Jonathon’s deadly game of manhunt on the grounds of the tree farm. This year they have taken things to the next level with some new additions and it surely will make the Conover Killings that much scarier! Make sure you give this one a listen as Alex makes an appearance late in the interview to make a deadly deal with Rob about Greg. So hop in your car and drive the speed limit to the Conover Killings, as this is one Haunt you will not want to miss this Halloween Season!
This week… well let’s just say this week’s episode is why we are called Anything Goes. We started our episode talking to Rob from Conover Killngs about this year’s walkthrough. We ended up talking him through getting pulled over on his 5 hour drive. It’s safe to say this was a very random yet memorable phone call and episode. Stay tuned next week for when we attempt to redo an actual talk with Rob about this year’s trail. Why did he get pulled over? Did he get a ticket? Arrested? Needed bail money? Almost get convicted of murder? All of those questions get answered in this unedited, uncut full phone call with Rob.
This week we unofficially officially kick off Halloween season! We talk about some haunts we already have lined up and how our 4 year old twin daughters are obsessed with all things spooky. They are obsessed so much that they even created a game pretending to be Halloween animatronics. We also think back (not that long ago if we are being honest) to days living at home and how we SWORE we were being chased up our steps as soon as the lights went off. Now, let’s start celebrating Halloween!
This week we talk about our experience at Six Flags Great Adventure: Heros and Villains Fest. It’s safe to say our girls will forever love Cat Woman and the Joker now. We talk about the opening cavalcade, the dance parties, the ending street fight and how it became the memory of the summer for us. For the first time ever, we interviewed our 4 year old twin girls to get their honest take on it all! We can without a doubt say we hope to see this event for many years to come!
In this week’s episode, we talk about Stuart Smith, known at “Syko Stu” in the wrestling world. Syko Stu was physically assaulted by Raja Jackson in the ring during his wrestling match. We give our thoughts on this incident and send our prayers for a quick and full recovery for Syko Stu.
First of all, Happy Birthday to Fred Durst! This week we talk about a bunch of random things, like a grown man getting stuck in a slide and MLB wanting to change up their divisions. We also explain how six flags has made our girls obsessed with all things Villians related. We also play a pick 10 name game with one of our listeners names! Greg makes a very serious confession that Alex cannot believe, and we break down the next 2 weeks and things we have planned. It’s safe to say we are already exhausted. See ya tonight at The Starting Line in NYC!!!
In this week’s episode, we talk about some more adventures that we went on. We were lucky enough to have some pretty good once in a lifetime seats at a New York Mets game. We also mention a pretty cool time we had at the American Dream Mall and being in a room filled with giant balloons. We also talk a bit about the UFC and what could quite possibly be our favorite food stand ever made at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights. Did Greg and his softball team win their Championship series on Sunday and how did Greg end up needing to use crutches? Give this one a listen to find out!
This week we talk about something we did this past week as well as something we have coming up. We took a trip over to Diggerland and rode on some excavators and tractors. We also kept our Summerslam tradition alive and watched it in our pool on our giant inflatable screen! We give our thoughts on Summerslam and talk about the Mets almost getting no hit. Greg explains how a pitcher can throw a perfect game and STILL lose the game. Here’s to hoping the Mets finally go on a run and take back first place!
This week we give some love to the immortal Hulk Hogan. As everyone knows, Hogan passed away recently and since he was Greg’s childhood hero, we had to dedicate an episode to the character that is Hulk Hogan. If it wasn’t for him, wrestling today would not be what it is. Hulkamania would not be running wild and we would have never taken our vitamins! So give this one a listen as you grab a WWF ice cream bar and wear your red and yellow!
