Bob the Baby Killer: How to be Consistently Pro Choice

In this episode, I show how standard pro-choice arguments that appeal to anything other than the non-human-personhood of the fetus could be consistently used to justify infanticide. If you are against infanticide, you should drop these arguments. The argument over abortion needs to remain over the fundamental issue of whether a fetus is a human person.

A Critique of Mormonism Episode 1: Are there three gods?

In this episode--and start of a series--I want to outline and critique key Mormon beliefs in the spirit of seeking truth and reaching Mormon friends with the saving love of Jesus Christ revealed in his true gospel. I want to both point to his beauty, and point to the wonder of the lovely triune God who made all things and desires fellowship with us.

Here, I took a look at the claim that the Godhead is a unity of three distinct gods.

In these notes, I will post relevant resources and links that will point you to further study. I intend to update this description with those links to both equip Christians to lovingly interact with their Mormon neighbors and reach Mormons with evidences that the Lord Jesus Christ faithfully preserved his gospel in the history of his church.

Imputed vs Infused Righteousness

In this video, I describe the differences between imputed and infused righteousness. I try to lay out both positions clearly, but also with a view to setting up a critique of infused righteousness in favor of the Reformation understanding of justification in a future video. I hope Roman Catholics find an accurate representation of their view and a helpful description of our differences.

Sola Scriptura vs Sola Fide?: A Response to a Catholic Apologist

Douglas Beaumont argues that James 2:24 forces Protestants to choose between Sola Scripture or Sola Fide. In this episode, I clarify what Sola Scriptura actually is and show why his argument doesn't work. Hopefully this pushes the discussion forward and generates light rather than heat!

Imputation and Justification: Protestantism vs Roman Catholicism

Here is a description of the classic Protestant doctrines of imputation and justification. I find that some Protestants don't define this doctrine well, and perpetuate these misconceptions. I aim to clarify the doctrine over and against Roman Catholic misconceptions, and defend it as more faithful to the Biblical witness. This was sparked by claims made by Suan Sonna on Matt Fradd's channel.

How Reason Reveals God
This is a brief argument testing what exactly we can say or deduce about ultimate reality from reason alone. What do the principles of reason strongly reveal about the nature of reality?

An Anglican View of Baptism
How do Reformed Anglicans think of baptism? What does it mean to say that baptism saves? In short: in Baptism, God adopts us, forgives our sins, and gives us the heritage of the saints. Come along with me!

The Problem of Evil: A Reformed Perspective

How should a Reformed Christian think about the problem of evil? Are there alternatives to Plantinga's Free Will Defense? Yes, there are. In this episode, I try to articulate a Reformed response to the problem of evil, interacting with Mackie and Schellenberg's formulations of the problem. Enjoy!

The Doctrine of the Trinity
This is a summary of material I taught to University of Illinois students for Design, a ministry of Cru aimed at reaching South Asian Americans with the good news of the gospel. Hopefully, I've articulated here something of the content, goodness, and beauty of the Trinity!
