This year I've realized just how desperately the world needs to hear the Gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ. Everywhere you turn you find people that are in need and searching in all the wrong places to fill their needs. As a child of God, I possess something that I am responsible for sharing with others...not through judgement or condemnation, but simply as Jesus did it and as he instructed us all to do. On this International Podcast Day, I want to share the need for the Gospel and encourage you to share it too!
Wikipedia explains Atonement as the concept of a person taking action to correct previous wrongdoing on their part, either through direct action to undo the consequences of that act, equivalent action to do good for others, or some other expression of feelings of remorse. The day of atonement means a lot to me personally, because it is a reminder of why Jesus came.
Encouraging myself to keep at podcasting! And getting stirred up over Ephesians 6...there's something about that scripture that makes me ready for spiritual warfare!
Welcome to Season 3 of Angel Reads the Bible. As an avid bible reader and an advocate for bible-based women's empowerment, I've been asked which woman I most admire in the bible, so to close out Women's History Month I thought I'd share that woman with you.
I just gave birth to my third baby (a babygirl!) one month ago. While reflecting on bringing new life into the world for the third time God reminded me of a message he gave me back in 2018 regarding the woman and the seed. This message comes from Genesis 3:15-16 and continues in Luke 1 verses 26 through 49.
I pray that the women listening to this episode know that they are a relevant part of God's plan!
There are two scriptures in the bible that stand out to me regarding concern for the future. The first is found in Habakkuk chapter 2 verse 2, the go to for most believers in goal-setting and vision-boarding, where it says to write the vision on tables (tablets). The second scripture is found in Matthew chapter 6, where it tells us to give no thought for the future. So then, what's the motivation behind the vision you have set for 2020? For your life?
Difficult times are expected in life, but we must always remember that God is with us through them. The Bible is full of examples of people that went through some difficult and scary times, but God never left them to go through alone. In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic we have to remember that as we go through—God is still with us. As much as we want these times to end NOW and we know God is able—Remember that God is with us and has a book full of promises for us.
I’m back with Season 2 of Angel Reads the Bible (FINALLY!). This season you can expect a whole new sound, my authentic voice, regular episodes, God inspired messages, of course scripture readings, hopefully a live event and so much more. Some of the episodes I have lined up for you include messages on bible-based women’s empowerment (I think I’m a biblical feminist); guest interviews; a peak into my personal life of faith and family; and dedicating a series to reclaiming sex and love on God’s terms.
Thanks for joining me in this new season of Angel Reads the Bible and I look forward to seeking the word of God with you. Be sure to check out my new website www.AngelReadstheBible.com. You can listen to episodes there or on your favorite podcast platform!
