This week, I had a fun Halloween in the West Village with the kids, then Anderson and I headed to Boston for AC2 (you asked, we answered!) Then, we talked about the fallout from my Call Her Daddy interview including from my mom, Evelyn, who called in with her (always unfiltered) thoughts. Plus, I got veneers to fix my jacked up teeth (thanks, trolls!)
This week, we recapped the Radio Andy 10th Anniversary Party Broadcast (total chaos and camp), the Hulaween Benefit with Bette Midler, and I had a bit of a costume miscommunication with the kids but everyone was happy in the end. Then, I had an epic Pedestrian rage moment outside my new building (R.I.P. to my tea and reputation).
This week, we (finally!) got face time with John's spiritual mommy, Victoria Beckham! It was all we hoped for - and more - although she did express concern over the lack of age gap with her spiritual son. Plus, we dealt with John's needing-a-TV saga and my diamond ring is lost…again. And forever. Then, we talked kids misbehaving, debated the appropriate punishments, and dug into Listener Mail.
This week, I'm back from LA and filming the Real Housewives of Orange County reunion. John and I grappled with the Nor'easter (that kind of never showed up), and then I made a quick trip to Nashville to talk to some Dieticians. Then, John's settling into his new (amazing but problem-rittled) apartment and it became clear to me that I'm turning into my Mom and Ben is turning into me. Plus, we recapped Part 2 of the Real Housewives of Miami reunion and heard some reactions to my Howard Stern interview.
This week, John and I were dormmates for a few days while he got settled in his new apartment (helloooo outdoor shower!) and I had my first dinner party (a massive success, according to Matthew Broderick!) Then, we talked Taylor's new album, gave "The Wizard of Oz" a review (80 years late?), and cold called some Bravolebs for our favorite segment, "Phone a Bravo Friend"! Plus, after 10 years of begging, I got to interview Howard Stern this week! (available on the SiriusXM app)
This week, I've been a bit overwhelmed with the weight of being a single father and career "gal." But on the bright spot, John is officially a New Yorker! Then, we had another interaction with Lucy's nemesis Baby Alice, and we learned all about the Ryder Cup golf tournament. Plus, we dug through some listener mail and parsed through the Salt Lake City taglines.
This week, I found the lost passports (sayonara, that $700!), got another DM from (the real?) David Beckham, and reacted to Jimmy Kimmel's suspension & brilliant return to air. I finally got to chatting about Ben's piano lessons and how I may have messed up back-to-school night by not realizing I was supposed to leave a note for Ben! (UGHHH)
Then, Lucy got her first haircut from renowned hairdresser Serge and got in a feud with Baby Alice. We made it through the Rapture and heard from some of our listeners including one who chewed me out for working on Rosh Hashanah.
Plus, it's John's last week in LA and he's packing up for his move to NYC!
This week, we celebrated the 10th Anniversary of Radio Andy on SiriusXM and listened back to moments from our first episode of Andy Cohen Live (wait until you hear how our voices sound.) I got back from a quick trip in Spain where I had to wait for tables but didn't have a care in the world (until I realized I lost another item on the flight home.)Then, John finally found an apartment in NYC, so we're counting down the days until we're same-coast friendly again. Plus, I got another DM from David Beckham and Helvetica returned to report on some news.
This week, we returned from summer break with an epic prank on Howard Stern's show (that fooled more people than we expected) and I recapped my summer break including some house guests and a Metallica show in the Hamptons. Plus, John rated my performance on the "Love Island USA" reunion (second behind the chicken tenders at his watch party). Then, my contact lens saga continues and I revealed my weight loss secret. Later, I showed the kids our new home, started drama with the W Hotel in Hoboken, and went on an epic journey to replace my lost passport!
We’ll be back with a new episode next week, but for now, here’s our final look back on some of the best - and worst - of my parenting stories that made you laugh, cry…and write in to tell me what I did wrong. Can't wait to be back next Friday to recap everything I did while on the beach and off the grid!
We are still on vacation but not on a break from giving your ears something fun to listen to! This week, it’s Part 2 of our look back on my favorite entries that made me cry in an emotional way and John cry out of boredom.
Hiii Gawys! We are off for a few weeks, but we will still be putting out fresh episodes for you guys! This week, it's Part 1 of the Best of The Daddy Diaries, highlighting some of the best, most embarrassing, most touching, (and most annoying, for John?) stories about parenting and the kiiiids.
This week, it was reunion city - I recapped the "Real Housewives of Miami" reunion taping AND the "Love Island" reunion taping with my co-host Ariana Madix! Then, fun times on the beach with my kids, friends, and a Southern Charmer. We checked in on the "Jordie is 40" Weekend and opened the Mail Bag. Plus, Ben & I are really on our way going through the Star Wars universe, which led to a moral-parental dilemma: to lightsaber or not to lightsaber?
This weekend, I was in San Francisco for the Dead's 60th Anniversary celebration, where I danced with Miles Teller and learned (in real time) at a karaoke bar that "Islands in the Stream" should not be my go-to song. Then, I dealt with some Lucy nursery school drama, saw Kelly & Mark's old studio get torn down (why was I the only one crying?!), and yelled at a gal on the street (more than once) for littering. Plus, John & talk about the murder that happened at my gym, if my outdoor shower partition is TOO low, and opened the Mail Bag.
This week, I was excited to finally reveal a secret I've been holding for a while... my "And Just Like That" cameo! Or as I like to call it, "Daniel's Busiest Day." If you can believe it, I lost another AirPods case, and agonized over how I looked on "The Valley" reunion. Plus, did you hear?! Anderson and I are hitting the road again with AC2! Then, Bevy Smith joined us for a fun kiki and we cleaned out the Radio Andy Mail Bag.
This week, I had a whirlwind trip to LA for the Las Culturista Awards and a visit with my Hollywood Star. Then, we talked about the Colbert cancellation news, recapped my sketch on Colbert with my fellow late night hosts, and weighed in on the Coldplay Kiss Cam scandal, Plus, we celebrated Jordan's birthday and pondered how we'll be notified if our any of our loyal listeners die (note: add instructions in your wills!). And as a special treat, we're sharing some of our kiki with guest Kristen Johnston (where we told some old war stories from the very-dark-but-very-funny-now days).
This week, I FINALLY got to move into the new apartment and I'm reveling in that euphoria. At the beach, Lucy had a Potty Alert (in the pool) and we had a meet-cute with a gentleman while clothes shopping.
Then, we became obsessed with "the power of yet", which took us off the rails all week. Plus, we talk Bravo headlines (Ladies of London! Jax! RH of London!) and we opened up the Listener Mail Bag
This week, I felt great and in a whole new vibe as I kicked off my official start to summer and broadcasted from my beach house. While I had quality family time and watched a bird on a kamikaze flight into my window (hello, new summer tradition!), John was in Fire Island taking a lover.
Plus, I said my final goodbyes to the old building staff, and said hello to my new (almost!) fully completed apartment! Then, I battled barnacles at dinner with Bruce "Yes, And" Bozzi.
Happy July 4th! We're off this week, but bringing back this classic Diary Entry, in case you missed it!
ICYMI: This week, Ben officially left Pre-School and one of us had a total meltdown over it. Then I (regretfully) shared the story of (unsuccessfully) "holding it in" while commuting. Later, the mail bag gave us a real A-Ha moment about our mouth noises, and I share where I'm sending all my money this election year!
This week was an emotional one! I fully packed up my apartment and started moving into the new apartment...which led to a walk down memory lane with John about the memories we shared there.
Plus, a turf war broke out between ice cream vendors at the playground and I put to bed a rumor about a feud I'm supposedly having with a Housewives family. Then I went back to the dreaded eye doctor, which went about as well as you'd predict.
