The world is watching. As of putting this podcast together, I have no idea who the winner is but I voted this past week and then got accosted by some teenagers at the high school. BUT, it's half my fault because I went at 2:45 to vote like an idiot when they're all getting out. Also, i went out every night this week to make up for my being sick the last few weeks. That includes my jaunt to the West Side Comedy Club which was the worst comedy club I've ever been too -- of course that being said - please come see me perform there on November 26th. 😅 What a plug!!! See, now that's comedy! You guys get it.

This week a student gets triggered from the movie (get ready) - 1985's The Sure Thing. Well, that about does it for me then, I'm outta here. Also, is it possible for people with dementia to come back using familiar songs and music. I test the theory this week. My own theory that is, not scientific -- of course, since I am a college professor, maybe it is scientific. You're welcome. Also, I purchase 4 magazines for $52. I mean, since I'm the last person to buy magazines, don't you think I deserve a discount. A classic storytelling podcast that will entertain and amaze.

This week the big lecture at the University of Texas with the wrinkle of having a seasonal allergy or maybe something worse. My reputation at stake!! And when I say my reputation at stake -- there was nothing at stake. There is completely no stake involved. BUT, I do love drama. Meanwhile, my friend Lily, a student there, has boy troubles I have to help her through -- because THAT is what I do. Boys are awful (of course said in a Paul Lynde voice). Duh. Also, a new coffeeshop girl who immediately brought out the, "oh, my boyfriend has that same watch" classic. 😅

The security in my building is quite strict. You have to send an email to the building management to let them know someone is coming over or staying overnight - UNLESS you're hot. Then they just apparently give you the key. It's hilarious. The King of Chaos makes a claim that that the machine's are indeed making sure he (I) stay the King of Chaos until they get sick of me i guess. A little Matrix/Terminator stuff going on in my life.

This week I have my Devil Wears Prada moment as I stalk and meet John Varvatos as I'm wearing his jacket. I thought it was one of the coolest things ever but my friends don't seem to care -- so I got new friends. Yeah, that's right. Also, I know I keep advertising this one Jiffy Lube in New Jersey but it's incredible. They just let me keep my car there so I don't have to deal with the horrid UN Assembly in Manhattan which was a nightmare, as it is every year, to drive through. The street where I park my car was closed off as usual but I had a little talk with the cops -- yeah, you know what I'm talkin' about. 😅 Also, the final appearance at the Roastmaster's Broadway Show as he records for Netflix. A fun week to hear about but an annoyance for me, which, of course, always makes for a quality podcast. You're welcome. 😉

I finally get to see Spinal Tap II and it was great. Don't listen to anyone else. Also, my first physical in two years and what they don't do anymore -- alright spoiler alert, no more Fletch Moon River gags anymore (yeah, you know what I'm talkin' about). Also my doctor told me I was obese so I told him he was ugly. My mother doesn't show up at my lecture AND, a great tailgate at the meadowlands. Life is hilarious on this last day of September episode on And Juskow for All.

The big Jeff Ross 60th, with the stars, Li'l John DiMaggio, Paul Rudd and Todd Barry - special appearance by Jim Carrey. What an outstanding evening (dinner and a show) I mean. . . . it was almost ruined by a woman down the street BUT I wouldn't let that happen. Also, another 9/11 nightmare (now in it's 24th big year). The president was in town and you know how that effects me and my parking. Although next year will be worse I guess. Let's make plans now to be nowhere near NYC that day. How 'bout that then. OK, we'll stick with that. Join us for a journey that is completely pointless and a waste of time (like most podcasts really). Then a secret midnight opening of a broadway show with the legendary Roast Master General and then a production of Grease starring my nephew. Oh god, it's true. I went into 4 different, maybe 5 different restaurants/coffee shops this week and none of them had air. Now that I think about it, even a Walgreens downtown had fans blowing. WTF!! Ironically, going from extreme heat to extreme cold did get me sick so, I guess I'll just have to move. This week, going to see Sam Morril and Rachel Feinstein in Red Bank with the Mayor of Red Bank of course AND a big Comedy Cellar birthday party. Also, seeing the off broadway (smash, I guess), Ginger Twinsies (based on The Parent Trap).

I just found out that one of my young stand-comedy friends has been doing stand-up for 13 years. I thought she had been doing it for possibly 5. This changes everything which led me discuss where you should be in stand-up comedy timeline and why you should give up if you haven't met the right friends yet. It's brutal truth time. AND, another soaking wet feet day. Ugh.

This week we get to meet "Hacks" Jean Smart and see her incredible performance in a one woman show on Broadway. Hey, she's alright. After that we go where all the elite Broadway crowd goes as the Roastmaster and me take advantage of his coming to Broadway. After that it's another memorial for that awful club owner, but. . . it's always podcast gold so I keep going. This time was no exception as the kosher restaurant luncheon after the memorial was out of cole slaw. A jewish deli out of cole slaw on a Sunday morning. How is the president not involved!!??? Worst deli ever (said like comic book guy). AND, the one of the most important emails of my later career and I didn't get it because I switched phones that day. I mean -- that's just epic. This is a fun episode.

Well, turns out their creator Jim Peterik is quite an interesting guy and has written a bunch of hits you didn't realize - which, of course, is my favorite thing to teach -- as a professor. Today on the show we attend a memorial service for one of the most disliked men in comedy, Al Martin. It's true. He had alot of haters BUT he outlasted most of the comedy clubs in New York City AND, most importantly, it turned out I was the most famous person to attend (after Marina Franklin left for the bathroom) 😉. Then I got a new muffler for my car. I mean, what a podcast! 😄

Hello all. Today on a most exciting episode of Juskow in the City we talk about the Big Event at the Comedy Cellar that went spectacularly well (although you'd never know from the video of me doing comedy - which you can see if you're on patreon 😅). But everything the Comedy Cellar did to sabotage the show backfired and everyone was happy including the audience, the comics and the wait staff - and probably the Comedy Cellar eventually. Then the next night I had the exact opposite experience in Crooklyn. The Classic juxtaposition - today on Juskow in the City.

Welcome back everyone and I hope you all had a great holiday weekend. So this week I had an old school weekday party on Tuesday and Thursday. Tuesday was comedians day as I watched the New York Knicks lose to the Indiana Pacers at comedian Sam Morril's apartment with guest stars Chris DeStefano, Mike Veccione, Todd Barry and Rachel Feinstein. And Thursday was musician day as we had a lovely shin dig down on Wall Street to celebrate musician Colin Smith's surprise birthday party. Well it's been a bleak week BUT obviously we have our Larry David and Albert Brooks clips to keep our spirits up. I've been talking to a friend who turns out is IN Defending Your Life - AND my favorite scene - so . . . that's incredible. And, I got my car window fixed, so now I can go around saying, "Hey Babe, be back to pick you up later." I live a full life.
