Episode 34: From Athlete to Individual: Navigating Life Beyond Sport
In this episode I share the importance of detaching from the identity of our sport. So much of our life as athletes is based around hitting our potential in sport. We live, eat, and breathe for it, but then inevitably, it ENDS. Being prepared or having the acceptance of that can be crucial in your journey. Too often we put at the pressure on ourselves in the sport days, that we forget we aren't solely our sport. If we don't recognize that it can not only add to decreased performance, but can make life following sport very challenging. Being prepared and making decisions throughout that are in alignment with you and your greatest purpose can help you in navigating through all of it.

Episode 33: Reflecting on Life Lessons of Sport
In this episode I share my experience of getting to go back and play competitive hockey for the first time in 12 years. I get personal on that experience itself, but also what lessons and memories came up in being on the ice and in the environment again. We go off and live our lives after our sport ends, and some of us are fortunate enough to stay involved in sport in some way shape or form. I share how important it is to channel that competitive nature and then also jump on opportunities to find that again. I was on a high in recording this episode in probably having the MOST fun competing again than I ever have in the past.

Episode 31: Maximizing in the Offseason
In this episode I share why it is so beneficial to become focused on what your offseason training will look like. Truly great athletes utilize their offseason to hone in on specific areas of their game to master or improve on. It is vital for an athlete to personalize their training in these times and focus on the areas of their game that they desire to level up. I provide reasons as to why this is the optimal time to invest in your development and tips along the way.

Episode 30: Going Beyond the Surface (with Kristin Pierce)
Facebook & Instagram @innercompassacademy @innercompassbooks Website: www.innercompassacademy.com www.innercompassbooks.com My special guest Kristin Pierce joins me to discuss all the inner working of our bodies as athletes from mindset to injuries. Kristin is a self-awareness educator whose mission is to empower others to deconstruct the self-limiting beliefs that are keeping them small and stuck in order to rise to their potential, come alive, and impact the world. Kristin does so by helping her clients and students learn to connect to their inner knowing, learn to listen and understand the messages from their bodies, and question their limits so they can create healing, growth, and change in their lives. She is a MindScape instructor, an Advanced BodyTalk Practitioner, a Registered Massage Therapist, an award-winning children’s author, an entrepreneur, and an athlete. Born and raised in Rosetown, SK, Kristin was an elite athlete who competed on the Saskatchewan provincial teams for volleyball and track and field when she was in high school. She received a bronze medal at provincials for shot put in 2003. She earned a Div II college scholarship to Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pennsylvania. After her third year of college, she was blindsided with a diagnosis of ovarian cancer, but came out the other side and is healthy and thriving. She plays competitive indoor and beach volleyball and swears her vertical is better at 37 than when she was in college.
