Parental Jealousy and I Need You

This year has been horrifying, isolating, defeating, demoralising and just plain mean. But as we start to see the light at the end of the tunnel, I can appreciate what 2020 has done for me. The global pandemic that saw an entire planet locked down by governments, and generations fighting for rights against protection, has forced me to undo a lot of the journey I have been on. And it was a miracle.

I can honestly say that I now understand myself clearer that I have since I was a child. I have more faith in myself and my moral grounding, more tools in my emotional backpack and more layers in my defence field.

The first pile of words you will hear today are called Parental Jealousy. It took me a long time to grow the courage to say these words out loud. To share them. It hurts even now to remember them.

The second little pile of words you will hear today is about need.
