CFRC 101.9 FM's Airwave YGK Artist Residencies program feature performances by and interviews with local musicians, bands, and DJs. Beginning in early winter 2024, these artists joined CFRC in our studios. DJs, turntablists and experimental sound artists conducted specialized workshops in their electronic crafts for campus and community participants and also performed live sets on the air accompanied by an artist talkback. Musicians and bands also joined us at the station, undertaking 2-3 day residencies to create new music in our studios, undertaking an artist interview, and performing their newly created songs live on the air. This podcast series features live performance recordings and interviews with the artists who have participated in our Airwave YGK programming.
