Le Musée royal de l'Afrique centrale (AfricaMuseum) a une longue histoire en tant qu'institution coloniale. Cette année marque ses 125 ans d'existence et 5 ans d'un nouveau récit, après avoir été rénové. Pour souligner cette nouvelle ère, l'institution organise en 2023 des événements pour questionner encore plus le rôle du musée dans le passé, le présent et l'avenir.
Dans cet épisode de What's Up With - Reine?, Salomé Omanga Ysebaert et Marie-Reine Iyumva parlent de leur expérience en tant que jeunes Afrodescendantes et collaboratrices au musée. Quelques mois après l’indépendance du Congo, Patrice Lumumba est assassiné.
