We hear the words "patriarchal" and "patriarch" a lot in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, but rarely hear "matriarchal" or "matriarch". Does that mean women in the Church of Jesus Christ are oppressed? Or is there a chance that it is actually in our favor as women to not have as visible and structured roles in the Church? Listen to find out!
We also discuss in this episode Tikla's reaction when her husband, Austin Fife, came to her and told her he no longer believes in God. What could have created contention and distance in their relationship turned into a search for more light and truth. We talk a lot about how to navigate when a loved one is going through a faith crisis and how to find common ground.
I'm so grateful to hear Tikla's wisdom on being a wife and a mother, and the strength that comes through a relationship with Jesus Christ.

In this episode, I have a fun and genuine conversation with Tautai (Elder TikTok). We chat about where his hope in Jesus Christ came from, how he gained the confidence to post about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in a unique way, his family and their support, his advice for content creators, and his dating life. Tautai has such a heart for Jesus and you can feel it in this episode. Focusing on sharing Christ's message with even just one person.
In this episode, I interview Jasmin Rappleye. Jasmin has been sharing the gospel on social media for years. Her depth of knowledge on topics we cover like the temple, Adam and Eve, and social media is impressive and engaging. Jasmin recently went out on her own starting from scratch building her social media and YouTube channel and her results already speak for themselves. Learn about Jasmin’s testimony, where it came from, and much more!
In this episode, we talk about the law of chastity in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. What it is, why it’s often misunderstood, and why it is actually a powerful tool. I start with a moment from the new season of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives featuring Taylor Frankie Paul to explore the contrast between what society says about sex and God’s deeper purposes in asking us to wait.
No matter where you’re at with this topic, Jesus is always there for you with his hand outstretched.
This is not comprehensive, but rather just a few of my thoughts on this topic.
Do you need rest? What do we need to do to find the “rest unto our souls” that Jesus talks about? Explore Matthew 11:28-30 with me and the idea that maybe it’s when we take up the responsibility that Christ has for our lives that we find true rest.
What phase of life are you in right now? Are you a busy mom who hasn’t figured out how to add scripture study into your day? Are you dating and trying to decide if someone is “the one”? Are you thinking about going on a mission, and maybe even someone is asking you to stay home? Are you in high school and figuring out if this church thing is for you? No matter what phase you’re in, this podcast is for you! There is so much wisdom to be found in hearing someone’s life experience through the gospel lens. We talk about a variety of ways Grace has felt answers to prayers and the Spirit guiding her, leading her ultimately to a simple testimony in Jesus Christ.
At the end we briefly discuss ideas on how to make Easter Christ-centered so don’t miss it!
Are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Christian? What does it mean to be Christian? Dive into this topic with me as we talk about where this claim comes from, the differences and similarities in our beliefs from mainstream Christianity, and, most importantly, what Jesus has to say about it.
*correction- I said that in the trinity, God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost are all spiritual beings, but trinitarian beliefs are that Jesus still has a body

In this episode, my husband shares his conversion story to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Whether you’re a lifelong member of the Church or join later in life, we all have a conversion story. I’m so grateful to Austin for being willing to share his. A story of searching for answers to the bigger questions in life, taking a couple years “off” from the church, being made new through Jesus Christ, and in the end, seeing that God’s love is there through it all.
Dive in to Matthew 6:25-34 with me where we see one of the instances in the scriptures where Jesus addresses stress and anxiety. These verses with their beautiful imagery aren’t meant to be a cure all, but can be one tool in your tool belt. Let’s talk about the material things, the things you can’t control, the busy culture of today and what Jesus says about it.

You are the woman taken in adultery- even if you’ve never committed adultery. This is a broader story about sin, condemnation, and ultimately, redemption. Dive into these verses with me and learn about how Jesus treats someone going through a redemption process.
