As the White House launches its Anti-Communist Week, the right wing seems increasingly puzzled by one question: why are so many young people in the West drawn to communist ideas and, why is their propaganda not working?
In our penultimate episode of the season, Khaled and Fiona share their personal journeys; how they became communists, why they joined the Revolutionary Communist Party, and what’s driving a new generation toward revolutionary politics.

The end of the Cold War was meant to usher in an unprecedented era of world peace.
Yet, three decades of endless conflict have instead left a trail of destruction and barbarism across the globe. Far from being peacemakers, the Western powers carry a blood-soaked record that speaks for itself.
Now, as tensions rise once again in Latin America, Ukraine, and the Middle East, we ask: Why do capitalists go to war?
Is it enough to point to the profits of the arms industry, or is war and militarism rooted more deeply in the very foundations of the capitalist system itself?

This week we ask: why is the left seemingly incapable of fighting the right wing? It is not simply a question of weak organisation or a lack of working-class support for a left-wing programme.
The deeper issue is that the left, as it currently exists, is organically incapable of solving the problems of the working class because it refuse to lay the blame on the capitalist system.
We trace the history of the left wing surge of the 2010s, in the form of Podemos, Jeremy Corbyn and Syriza, explaining why they ended in defeat. We examine the emergence of Zack Polanski and the Greens, alongside 'Your Party' to explain where their popularity comes from. Ultimately, we argue that the reforms being put forward will only work on the basis of a struggle against the capitalist system as a whole - which is what the Revolutionary Communist Party is trying to build.

Neoliberalism ; it’s the ideology said to be at the root of all our problems, right? It’s a popular buzzword, but what does it actually mean? What historical conditions gave rise to it, and can we really trace all of Britain’s issues back to the premiership of Margaret Thatcher?
Fiona Lali and Khaled Malachi unpack the rise and unraveling of neoliberalism as a capitalist project, arguing that the problem runs deeper — it’s not just neoliberalism itself, but the underlying logic of the capitalist system.
This is Part 1 of a two-part series

From France to Italy, we’ve seen huge general strikes erupt against austerity and the continued warmongering of the European ruling classes. We discuss how such strikes could be built here in Britain — and the leading role students could play by drawing on the history of May ’68.
