⚡ ️Imagine 4-day school weeks, outdoor learning as standard, limited access to devices - and children who want to be at school. This is the dream of Liberty Woodland founder Leanna Barret.
💡 Many people are questioning whether the traditional school system is really setting their kids up for success - whether sending them away 5 days a week is truly best for them. And while homeschooling rates are increasing, many parents want something that meets somewhere in the middle.
💬 That’s why we’ve invited Leanna Barret onto the show - she’s the founder and headteacher at Liberty Woodland School, an independent school in South London. After struggling to find the right school for her kids, she decided to set up her own. It has gained a lot of media attention thanks to its unique approach to learning and 4-day week schedule.
🎧 Learn how children are benefitting from this radical new take on education - but also the challenges that come with stepping outside the norm.

⚡️ Have you ever walked past a row of narrowboats, bobbing up and down in one of the UK’s stunning canals and wondered - what would life be like on one of those? Well, we have too.
💡 Life aboard a canal boat offers freedom, a deeper connection to nature, cheaper living and a little bit of something new every day. But it definitely comes with its difficulties too.
💬 That’s why we’ve invited The Canal Boat Family, Doug and Chrissy, onto the show, to find out what life is like for them. 2 years ago they packed up their lives in London and started a new life on the water, with their now 4-year-old daughter. They are the proud owners of a 60ft traditional narrowboat, practising continuous cruising while living as sustainably as possible.
🎧 Find out about the highs and lows of daily life for the couple - and discover whether canal life is the life for you.

⚡️ What do you know about permaculture? For many it conjures up visions of off-grid living and back gardens overflowing with fruit and veg. But it turns out permaculture is about way more than that - a way of living where you understand that “everything is connected”.
💡 Permaculture can do wonders for your mental and physical health, cut down the rising costs of living, break free of capitalism and find a deeper connection to nature and people. But it’s hard work too…is it worth throwing away modern conveniences for?
💬 Dina and Neil are the founders of “Patch of the Planet” - where they design wildlife community gardens across England and Wales. They stepped away from normal life to live their own permaculture lifestyle in West Wales - and they’re thriving. That’s why we spoke to them, to get a sense of the joys and hardships of this way of life.
🎧 Find out about the highs and lows of daily life for the couple - and discover whether permaculture is the life for you.
