Gary seems to be upsetting all that are close to him in both time eras. In the 1940s, Phoebe is struggling with all of the wedding planning, especially with Gary not pulling his weight, while Reg is struggling with all of the gossiping going around about his living arrangements with Margie. In the 1990s, Yvonne is trying out different types of therapies to help her come to terms with her miscarriage, and Ron moves into a rather fancy apartment.
