This week we have the magnificent Maiya Sagoo, and it was a privilege to host what was her first-ever podcast episode. She expressed her nervousness prior to the recording, but you would not be able to tell at all! With over 27,000 followers on Tiktok, and over 290,000 likes, which has allowed her Instagram to follow the same trajectory; Maiya is a model and a university student. This academic year is supposed to be her year abroad, whereby she got the opportunity to live in Madrid, so of course, we took a deep dive into that experience and compared it with student life in London. Additionally, we got to learn more about her, and a bit more about professional modelling, which was intriguing. Maiya does not see her self as an influencer or Tiktok famous or perceive social media as a job, however, it is her hobby and form of escapism. She posts mini-vlogs on Tiktok, which are honestly extremely motivating for us as she gets so much done in a day by waking up early during this lazy lockdown.
