On this podcast, we will discuss topics such as marriage & family relationships, mental & physical health, and together, learn how to navigate this roller coaster we call life. A Slice of Empathy is really just that, a slice of life built on empathy. Learning how to live our lives more intentionally without restrictions as we learn how to better support and uplift one another. I think sharing the struggles we go through can help bring us closer together and realize that we’re not alone.

Life with an Escape Artist: The Non‑ADHD Partner's Story
Producer and artist manager Christine Cox joins the podcast to share her experience as the non-ADHD partner in a long-term marriage. She discusses the frustration, judgment, and emotional labor of keeping life on track amid ADHD-driven chaos, plus how therapy, humor, journaling, and boundaries have helped.
Christine also talks about defending her spouse in social settings, the impact of smartphones and stimulation, and why curiosity and empathy from others would make a big difference. She’s working on a book, Life with an Escape Artist, and can be found on Instagram @MissChristineCox.
Christine Cox is a producer, artist manager, and strategist with over two decades of experience in theater, film, and live entertainment. She is currently at work on her book Life with an Escape Artist, which explores the rarely-discussed perspective of partners navigating relationships with ADHD. Drawing on humor, empathy, and hard-earned lessons from nearly 20 years with her husband, actor and magician Max Darwin, Christine brings a candid and compassionate voice to conversations about love, resilience, and creative life.
