Benjy and Yoni talk everything NBA in only 7 MINUTES OR LESS, because nobody has time these days. Of course this isn't always possible so we have long-form discussions instead, often leading to embarassing childhood stories. Topics include:
- Who's the 2nd best player ever?
- Is it fair to compare eras?
- Do Vince and Melo deserve to make the HOF?
- Did Super Teams ruin the league or improve the product?
- Is AD just a big man version of Westbrook?

After a mindboggling 5-3 start against some good competition, Jeremy (@TheCohencidence) of @KnicksSchool & @TheStrickland talks about everything from his Jewish roots and the new-look Knicks. Is this team ACTUALLY legit? Is Thibs this good or was Fizdale just that bad? A ton of exciting Knicks topics were covered so enjoy the show!
2020 NBA Draft Primer: This segment isn't about my projected draft order, but a breakdown of all the relevant players expected to be picked in the top 40. In a draft that's not considered elite or top-heavy, there's a good chance teams selecting lower end up with the best players, similar to the infamous Anthony Bennett draft. If you're a team picking in the 10-15 range but like someone projected to go 16-30, THIS is the kind of unpredictable, volatile draft where you must REACH. For instance, if you're the Suns GM and like Tyrell Terry, this is the year to take a chance in the lottery because there's no serious dropoff in the talent level that follows. Picks 1-5 are just as unpredictable as 5-14, 15-30, 31-60. This is gonna be fun!
You gotta appreciate the greatness we are witnessing. But at the same time, the level of competition in is nothing to get excited about. Listen to a detailed analysis that puts the LeBron as #1 all-time argument/propaganda to rest, once and for all. Michael Jeffrey Jordan is the greatest of all time...and here's why it's not even close.
We breakdown who the Knicks should take at #8 as well as make other lottery predictions. Who are some of the sleepers of this bottom-heavy draft. Why Fred VanVleet, Christian Wood, and Joe Harris should be their main FA targets, and more!
A Head Coach in Israel's Third League, Yair Gewirtz is a rising star in the world of Israeli basketball. He has quickly built a reputation as a charismatic, multi-lingual, defensive-minded, player's coach that uses Brad Stevens as inspiration for his coaching style. He also happens to be Ben's first cousin and (possibly) his ticket to being an assistant coach one day 😉. Both are 34 year old basketball junkies who prefer not to talk about the Knicks at the moment. Coach Gewirtz breaks down 2020 lottery pick Deni Avdija's potential, teases about 2 relatively unknown Israeli prospects with NBA upside, discusses Maccabi Tel Aviv's makeup and chances, and predicts this year's NBA Finals matchup (which may surprise you). Also, what's Knick-turned-Jew Amare Stoudemire up to? @7minorless can't wait to have him on again soon!
David Stern wouldv'e done something about this. Adam Silver better wake up! Oh and tremendous job by Steve Stoute, our new PR guru is hard at work already. Good luck to Leon Rose, it's nice to sorta meet you.
CP3 and Embiid proved that they are more respected by their peers that fans and media give them credit for. Reggie Jackson is a great piece to the puzzle, diversifying the Clippers pick and roll options. But they're still one piece away from being unbeatable: a long, defensive-minded, rebounding PF/C who can finish around the rim and use up fouls against Anthony Davis. Tristan Thompson would be perfect for them, but who knows if the Cavs want to move on just yet. The waiver wire will change the fate of both LA teams.
The final days of Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons as teammates are upon us. The Warriors took a necessary gamble on Andrew Wiggins and have a likely top-5 pick to boot. James Dolan thinks he has Knicks fans fooled again with the hiring of Leon Rose and Steve Stoute. Brad Stevens has the most weapons. Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks aren't getting the credit they deserve. Marcus Morris solidifies the Clippers as the best team in the league. LeBron James lost the "it" factor. Morant will be regarded as the best pick in the 2019 draft over Zion Williamson.
