Hello, everyone. Welcome back to 3-minute Japanese. Today’s topic is the kanji “ki”. What is 「気」? The kanji character「気」expresses various elements, but ultimately, it represents energy. We are looking closely at the kanji 「気」 and learn some words with it in a series. The character 「気」 is versatile for a reason. I would like to close this introduction episode with two quotes by two brilliant minds. Albert Einstein allegedly said “everything is energy and that’s all there is to it.” Nikola Tesla said “if you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.” That’s it for today. Stay tuned for the next episode.
