Beijing’s Blunder at Sea, Voters Oppose Newsom's New Maps, Self-Deporting Illegals
Join Jim and Greg for the Friday 3 Martini Lunch. Today, it's all good martinis, as they focus on a serious collision of Chinese military vessels as they harassed a ship from the Philippines, California voters making it clear they want no part of California Gov. Gavin Newsom's gerrymandering scheme, and the Department of Homeland Security reporting many illegal aliens have self-deported.

First, after commenting on Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov appearing in Alaska wearing a CCCP sweater, they react to reports that two Chinese military ships collided at high speed as they tried to intimidate a much smaller military vessel from the Philippines. Jim says Beijing should use this as a chance to back off its territorial ambitions in the region but probably won't. They also discuss the mood in Taiwan amid recent rumors of a Chinese invasion.

Next, they lampoon Gov. Newsom’s bid to troll President Trump and Texas Republicans by proposing a ballot measure to undo California’s constitutional requirement for an independent redistricting commission. But polling shows voters overwhelmingly oppose the scheme. Jim also underscores how brazen it is for Democrats to push such a move in one of the most heavily gerrymandered states in America.

Finally, they welcome the DHS report that 1.6 million illegal aliens have voluntarily left the U.S. since Trump became president. This is additional proof that Trump's immigration policies are working. And they also explain how the left and its media allies are taking truly radical approaches to oppose the enforcement of immigration laws.

3 Martini Lunch
Schumer's D.C. Crime Delusion, Dems Demand Anti-Israel Candidates, Congressional UFO Lunacy
Join Jim and Greg as they dive into three crazy stories, namely Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer scoffing at the notion that there is a crime problem in Washington, Democratic presidential hopefuls realizing their hard left base expects them to be anti-Israel, and a Florida GOP congresswoman asserting that UFO's suggest we've been visited by "interdimensional" beings.

First, they marvel that Democrats are not suggesting a different wat to fight crime in the nation's capital, but are actually insisting that crime is not a problem there. Sen. Schumer says he always feels safe walking the streets of Washington, but Jim explains that the rest of us don't have a security detail to protect us.

Next, they're disturbed but not surprised to learn that prospective Democratic presidential candidates are tacking more anti-Israel because the progressive wing of the party loudly demands it. Jim and Greg look back at another sudden shift Democrats had in response to their base a generation ago, and point out that a majority of Democrats in the U.S. Senate already want to stop arming Israel.

Finally, they react to Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna for telling Joe Rogan that she has heard convincing testimony from people who claimed to see technology beyond what humans can produce. Furthermore, Rep. Luna suggests this technology was created by "interdimensional" beings. Jim finds the argument thoroughly underwhelming and questions whether the voters in Luna's district could do better.

3 Martini Lunch
Government-Run Grocery Failure, The Facts on the Gaza Famine, A Proven D.C. Crime Solution
Jim Geraghty is back! Join Jim and Greg on today’s 3 Martini Lunch as they break down the collapse of a government-funded grocery store in Kansas City, the global rush to wrongly blame Israel for Gaza’s food crisis, and a proven solution to Washington, D.C.’s violent crime problem.

First, they chronicle the closing of a Kansas City grocery store that received $18 million in local government funding overits seven-year existence. Empty shelves, poor maintenance, and a dangerous neighborhood were constant problems. And New York City voters would wise to learn now that government-run grocery stories do not work.

Next, they dig into the widespread condemnation of Israel over Gaza’s hunger crisis. Leftists like Sen. Bernie Sanders say this is 100 percent Israel's fault and Hamas deserves no blame. Jim and Greg explain how Hamas is very much to blame and Jim also points out how the media have no interest in far worse famines in other parts of the world.

Finally, they react to the Washington, D.C. police chief’s surprising unfamiliarity with the concept of a chain of command. As for Trump's recent actions, Jim hopes they improve the quality of life in the nation's capital, but he does not see them as a permanent solution. He says there is a proven method to drastically reducing violent crime, but we need city officials who actually want to do it.

3 Martini Lunch
Left Loses It Over Trump's DC Plans, Party Divide on American Pride, The Marijuana Menace
Hillsdale College Radio General Manager and Radio Free Hillsdale Hour host Scot Bertram fills in for Jim on Tuesday’s 3 Martini Lunch. Join Scot and Greg as they cover the political comeback of former Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown, furious left-wing reactions to President Trump federalizing the D.C. police, a new poll exposing a sharp partisan divide over pride in America, and troubling consequences from legalizing marijuana.

First, after a quick discussion about Sherrod Brown running for U.S. Senate again, they highlight former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi blaming Pres. Trump for not activating the National Guard before the January 6th riots, the former U.S. Capitol Police Chief slams Pelosi for denying his request for National Guard forces leading up to that day. They also rip Peter Baker of the New York Times for claiming DC has a "non-existent crime crisis."

Next, they examine a Cygnal poll revealing that 63 percent of Americans believe the nation is worth celebrating as it nears its 250th birthday. But the numbers split sharply along party lines. 89 percent of Republicans agree, compared to just 37 percent of Democrats. Scot and Greg try to explain why the difference is so stark.

Finally, they groan over the menace that legalized marijuana is to our society. A New York Times report reveals that weed gummies are sending thousands of small kids going to the hospital. In fact, kids were 75 percent of the 22,000 people taken to the hospital for marijuana-related health problems in 2024 . Scot and Greg rip the greedy politicians who made pot legal and point out the threat marijuana presents to public safety and overall quality of life in a community.

3 Martini Lunch
Dems' Admit Truth on Redistricting, Trump Declares DC Emergency, The Attention Extraction Tax
Hillsdale College Radio General Manager and Radio Free Hillsdale Hour host Scot Bertram fills in for Jim on Thursday’s 3 Martini Lunch. Join Scot and Greg as they thoroughly enjoy the left's hypocrisy and letting the truth slip over the redistricting fight. They also react to President Trump placing the DC police under federal control and the left trying to regain control over news narratives through the attention extraction tax.

First, they dismantle the blatant hypocrisy of New York Gov. Kathy Hochul and Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker as they refuse to acknowledge their own aggressive gerrymandering. Scot and Greg also highlight former Rep. Beto O’Rourke openly admitting the fight is about raw political power, and former Attorney General Eric Holder urging Democrats to weaponize redistricting in blue states, seizing power under the guise of “saving democracy” before supposedly ending the practice altogether.

Next, they react to President Trump placing the Washington, D.C, police under federal control, citing a state of emergency over crime. Greg is torn over this because he does not like the idea of the federal government taking more control over things but he also admits the DC government has been both unable and unwilling to get serious about fighting crime.  Scot says people have said for decades that something needs to be done about crime in D.C. and Trump is finally doing something about it.

Finally, they laugh at a Boston Globe column bemoaning the end of taxpayer funding for PBS and NPR and calling for a new online entity that people can go to for factual information about prominent political and policy issues. In short, it's just another avenue for the left to regain the power to shape news narratives. And this would all be paid for by the Orwellian "Attention Extraction Tax."

3 Martini Lunch
Trump's Peace Deals, How Biden Politicized FEMA, Bureaucrats Bench Bridgewater
Undisputed King of Stuff and Sink the Rising Sun author Jon Gabriel fills in for Jim on Thursday’s 3 Martini Lunch. Join Jon and Greg as they applaud President Trump for securing multiple peace agreements, expose the Biden administration’s blatant politicization of FEMA, and blast a Florida high school for suspending its football coach  (a longtime NFL quarterback) for ridiculous reasons.

First, they applaud the Trump administration for brokering a peace deal between Armenia and Azerbaijan after a decades-long conflict that involved the appalling slaughter of many Armenians. The deal marks the fourth peace agreement the Trump administration has facilitated this year. Jon and Greg criticize the media for providing so little coverage of these peace agreements and discuss Trump's very different approach to foreign policy.

Next, they recoil at reports that the Biden administration's priority at FEMA was to register and mobilize voters rather than providing disaster relief. The reports follow stories from 2024 that FEMA did not contact hurricane victims who had Trump signs in their yards.

Finally, they fume as NFL quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was suspended from his high school coaching job for such dastardly acts as paying for Ubers to take his players home through rough neighborhoods, making sure they were well fed, and paying for football camps out of his own pocket. As a result, Bridgewater is now back in the NFL and unable to coach those kids. Leave it to bureaucrats to ruin a good thing.

3 Martini Lunch
Trump Wants New Census, AP Sympathizes with Terrorists, Carville's Crazy Plan to 'Save Democracy'
Undisputed King of Stuff and Sink the Rising Sun author Jon Gabriel fills in for Jim on Thursday’s 3 Martini Lunch. Join Jon and Greg as they break down President Trump’s call for a new census, the Associated Press portraying terrorists as sympathetic victims, and James Carville’s idea of “saving democracy” through undemocratic means.

First, they size up President Trump's call for a new census to be taken that does not include people in the U.S. illegally. Given the huge undertaking of the census, Jon and Greg suggest making sure the 2030 census makes that distinction. They also note that Trump tried to include a citizenship question in the 2020 census but was blocked by the courts.

Next, they hammer the Associated Press for publishing a sympathetic piece on Hezbollah terrorists injured in last year’s Israeli pager bombings. The AP even explicitly laments that one Hezbollah terrorist "realizes it's impossible now to find a role alongside Hezbollah fighters" after being blinded by his exploding pager. How did we get to the point where the AP wants us to be sad that this guy can't try to kill Jews anymore?

Finally, longtime left-wing political strategist James Carville says that democracy is in danger. So if Democrats win control of the White House, the House, and the Senate in 2028, he wants them to unilaterally add states and pack the Supreme Court. You know, to save democracy. Jon has a far less dramatic suggestion for Democrats.

3 Martini Lunch
Texas Redistricting Like the Holocaust? Students Thrive Without Phones, Howard's End?
Hillsdale College Radio General Manager and Radio Free Hillsdale Hour host Scot Bertram fills in for Jim on Thursday’s edition of the 3 Martini Lunch. Join Scot and Greg as they dissect the left’s increasingly outlandish arguments over Texas congressional redistricting, highlight new research showing students benefit from phone-free classrooms, and react to reports that Howard Stern may soon retire.

First, they sit in disbelief as a Texas Democrat, who is currently on the lam in Illinois, compares the congressional redistricting fight to the Holocaust. They also chide CNN's Jake Tapper for saying Republicans abuse redistricting far more than Democrats and explain why Republicans feel confident creating new districts heavily populated with Hispanic voters who voted for Democrats until fairly recently.

Next, they dig into a new study showing that students do better in school when they don't have their phones in class with them. The research also finds that students support the phone restrictions once they experience them and enjoy more real-life interaction with their peers.

Finally, they discuss reports that Howard Stern may soon end his lucrative partnership with Sirius/XM. They review Stern's evolution from supposedly fearless shock jock to a pathetic, pandering leftist. Scot also explains why he believes Stern is overrated in the area where most people give him the highest compliments.

3 Martini Lunch
Newsom's Energy Reality Check, Dems Openly Embracing Socialism, Acosta's Ghoulish 'Interview'
Hillsdale College Radio General Manager and Radio Free Hillsdale Hour host Scot Bertram fills in for Jim on Thursday’s 3 Martini Lunch. Join Scot and Greg as they discuss California Democrats having to accept the truth on energy, Sen. Elizabeth Warren enthusiastically endorsing the socialist agenda of Zohran Mamdani, and Jim Acosta "interviewing" the bot of a student killed in a school shooting.

First, they dig into California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s retreat from his aggressive green agenda. After years of vilifying oil companies and pushing to end fossil fuel use, Newsom is now trying to keep refineries open and even expand drilling. Scot and Greg explain the truth about the scope of our energy needs and the only realistic ways they will be met anytime soon.

Next, they react to Sen. Elizabeth Warren backing far-left New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani. She not only praises his socialist platform on housing, child care, and food prices but also claims his message is what Democrats should embrace nationwide. Scot and Greg unpack what “affordable” really means under progressive policies and how big government failures continue to pile up in America’s largest cities.

Finally, they recoil at former CNN anchor Jim Acosta’s podcast “interview” with an AI version of Joaquin Oliver, a student killed in the 2018 Parkland school shooting. Acosta used the bot to advocate for greater gun control. Scot and Greg discuss the many ethical problems with this disturbing spectacle.

3 Martini Lunch
Texas Dems Flee Redistricting, Georgia Senate Showdown, NYT Triggered by Trump's Fitness Test
Hillsdale College Radio General Manager and Radio Free Hillsdale Hour host Scot Bertram fills in for Jim on Thursday’s 3 Martini Lunch. Join Scot and Greg as they dive into Texas Democrats fleeing the state over congressional redistricting, the Republican U.S. Senate primary heating up in Georgia, and The New York Times whining about the return of the Presidential Physical Fitness Test.

First, they blast Texas Democrats for their blatant hypocrisy as members of the state legislature flee to Illinois in an effort to block a new congressional map that favors Republicans. Scot and Greg dig into the absurd comments made by Texas Democrats, and they thoroughly relish that Dems went to Illinois, home of the worst gerrymandering in the nation - by Democrats.

Next, they analyze the GOP U.S. Senate primary in Georgia, as Gov. Brian Kemp successfully recruits former college football coach Derek Dooley into the race. Two Republican congressmen are also vying for the nomination and actively courting President Trump’s endorsement. Scot hopes Kemp and Trump will unite behind a single candidate to boost Republican chances. Greg wishes that were the case, but he expects Trump to back one of the lawmakers, setting up a very intense primary.

Finally, they sigh as a New York Times news article suggests President Trump bringing back the Presidential Physical Fitness test "revives painful memories" for people who struggled to do pull-ups in front of their classmates. Scot and Greg contend the test is a good step in trying to get kids to be more physically active and that not doing well in certain areas should be motivation to get better.

Trump Rejects Palestinian State, Dreary July Jobs Report, Kamala & Bass Blunder Again
Join Jim and Greg for the Friday edition of the 3 Martini Lunch as they react to President Trump's firm opposition to a Palestinian state, a deeply disappointing July jobs report, and more glaring incompetence from Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and former Vice President Kamala Harris.

First, they applaud Trump for refusing to follow France, Great Britain, and Canada in announcing their support for a Palestinian state. Trump says would be rewarding Hamas for its atrocities against Israel and beyond. Jim and Greg also explain why calls for establishing a Palestinian state with Mahmoud Abbas and Palestinian Authority is a horrible idea.

Next, they shake their heads at the July jobs report, which shows just 73,000 jobs added, a number far below expectations. Making matters worse, numbers from May and June were revised down by more than 250,000. Jim suggests tariffs may be hurting job creation, and both he and Greg warn against using tariff revenues to send us all checks.

Finally, they roll their eyes as Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass says the withdrawal of more National Guard personnel means they are in "retreat." Bass also cluelessly says he wants all military out of LA. Jim and Greg remind you that Bass was on Joe Biden's short list for vice president in 2020. Ultimately, that not went to Kamala Harris, who proved again on national television Thursday night, that she has no business being anywhere near the Oval Office.

3 Martini Lunch
Kamala's Not Running, Mamdani Deflects on Defunding Police, Hegseth Eyeing 2026 Campaign?
Join Jim and Greg for the Thursday 3 Martini Lunch, as they welcome the news that former Vice President Kamala Harris will not run for governor of California in 2026. They also discuss New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani attempting to downplay his past calls to defund the police, and whether Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth might be eyeing a future political campaign.

First, they're glad to see Kamala Harris choose not to enter next year's governor’s race, especially since she reportedly had little interest in actually doing the job. They also discuss whether she’s likely to pursue another presidential campaign in 2028 and what the California governor’s race looks like without Harris in the field.

Next, Jim and Greg focus on Mamdani’s effort to distance himself from his long-held “defund the police” stance following this week’s horrific mass shooting in Manhattan. They’re also frustrated by polling that shows Mamdani likely to win the New York City mayoral race, regardless of how the rest of the field shakes out. Jim also slams a Politico article that dismisses criticism of Mamdani’s Marxist ideology as “Mamdani Derangement Syndrome.”

Finally, they consider reports that Sec. Hegseth might be thinking about leaving his cabinet position to run for political office in Tennessee. Jim and Greg both find this far-fetched, considering the huge goals Hegseth is pursuing for our military and because there's not much he could run for in Tennessee anytime soon.

3 Martini Lunch
Zeldin Targets EPA Overreach, Solid Second Quarter Growth, Buttigieg's Nonsensical Blathering
Join Jim and Greg for the Wednesday 3 Martini Lunch as they applaud Environmental Protection Agency Administrator, Lee Zeldin for wanting to rein the power of his agency, They're also happy to see decent economic growth in the second quarter, and they berate Pete Buttigieg for his pathetic response about the future of the Democratic Party.

First, they praise Zeldin for urging the courts to restrict the Environmental Protection Agency’s powers to what Congress has explicitly authorized. Jim notes that if Democrats want the EPA to expand its reach, they need to pass legislation, not rely on regulatory overreach. Greg applauds Zeldin for respecting the limits of government power and willingly ceding authority not grounded in law.

Next, Jim and Greg are thrilled to see the resilience of the economy as the second quarter GDP rose by three percent. Although not a fan of tariffs, Jim is pleasantly surprised to see the economy doing well. Meanwhile, the positive growth means we are nowhere near a recession, forcing Democrats to find different talking points.

Last, they slam Buttigieg for his substance-free response to The Breakfast Club’s Charlamagne tha God, who asked whether the future of the Democratic party is someone more like New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani or someone like Buttigieg. Buttigieg's response included such rhetorical gems as "we're each going to be putting forward the version of the message that's truest to who we are" and what young Democrat politicians have in common is that "they are who they are." Jim and Greg have fun with Buttigieg's meaningless answers and consider what answers would have actually been interesting.

3 Martini Lunch
Trump Losing Patience with Putin, Taiwan Leader Blocked from U.S., The Illegal Immigrant Policeman
Join Jim and Greg for the Tuesday 3 Martini Lunch. Today, they applaud President Trump for ratcheting up the pressure on Vladimir Putin and scold him for refusing to allow the president of Taiwan to visit the U.S. And they examine the arrest of the illegal alien serving as a police officer in Maine.

First, after noting the passing of Chicago Cubs legend Ryne Sandberg, they cheer President Trump for giving Putin a firm 10–12 day deadline to end the war in Ukraine. Trump appears to be losing patience with Putin’s broken promises and ongoing escalations. Jim and Greg also explore how Trump might respond if Putin ignores the warning, and they question America’s continued dependence on adversaries like Russia and China for materials vital to national security.

Next, they slam Trump’s refusal to let Taiwanese President Lai Ching-te stop in New York City en route to Latin America. While the move may be tied to sensitive trade talks with Beijing, Jim argues the U.S. should never let China dictate who can enter our country. They also examine how this decision may embolden the Chinese government.

Finally, they break down the arrest of an illegal immigrant in Maine who was not only trying to buy a gun but was already working as a local police officer. While officials claim to have used E-Verify to confirm his status, Jim notes the system can’t verify whether applicants actually own the documents they present.

3 Martini Lunch
How Baltimore's Murder Rate Plunged, Trump's EU Trade Deal, Blue Angels vs. Pet 'Parents'
Join Jim and Greg for Monday’s 3 Martini Lunch as they dig into the steep drop in violent crime in Baltimore, President Trump’s new trade deal with the European Union, and a bizarre lawsuit blaming the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels for terrorizing a cat in its final days.

First, they examine the dramatic decrease in Baltimore’s murder rate since voters ousted soft-on-crime prosecutor Marilyn Mosby in the 2022 Democratic primary. Her replacement, Ivan Bates, pledged a return to aggressive prosecutions, and the numbers show it’s working. Under Mosby, there were 334 murders in 2022. Last year, the total dropped to 202, and the city has recorded just 68 homicides so far in 2024. Jim and Greg argue it’s no mystery what’s driving the improvement.

Next, they dissect President Trump’s trade agreement with the European Union, which includes lowered tariffs and major commitments from Europe to buy U.S. energy and weapons. Jim says this deal is a significant relief given what would have happened later this week without a deal. But he's still concerned that American consumers will end up paying more for a lot of things.

Finally, they lambaste the crazy cat lady, who decided to sue the Blue Angels for disturbing the final days of her cat, as it died from heart disease. Jim is flabbergasted that anyone could blame the progression of heart disease on noise from planes. He's also greatly annoyed that the lady is referred to as that cat's "human mother" in news reports.

3 Martini Lunch
Dems' Inflation Lie, Young Men Strongly Shifting Right, Hamas Doesn't Want Peace, The Fading '80s
Join Jim and Greg as they stock the Friday 3 Martini Lunch with four stories. They discuss Democrats trying to blame President Trump for record-high grocery prices, young men supporting Republicans far more than just a few years ago, the U.S. withdrawing from Middle East ceasefire talks, and the loss of three hugely prominent celebrities this week who were household names for kids of the 1980's.

First, they get a good laugh as the Democrats post a graph of grocery prices since 2019 showing how prices are at a record high. The Democrats captioned the graph "Trump's America." The backlash was immediate as the graph clearly showed the vast majority of the inflation took place in the Biden years - as we all know.

Next, they welcome new numbers from the Pew Research Center showing male voters aged 18-29 now favor Republicans by a 52-34 percent margin. Men of every age group prefer Republicans by double digits and women over 50 are split pretty evenly. Women under 50 strongly side with the Democrats, and Jim offers a cultural explanation for the gender gap.

Then, they roll their eyes as French President Emanuel Macron announces France will recognize a Palestinian state when the United Nations General Assembly opens in late September. Meanwhile, ceasefire talks have ended after the latest Hamas counteroffer was so ridiculous that the mediators would not even pass it along to the U.S. negotiators.

Finally, they reflect on the deaths of '80s legends Hulk Hogan, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, and Ozzy Osbourne. They explain what a cultural phenomenon Hogan was back then. They also remember Warner's very memorable years on The Cosby Show, and how Osbourne's reputation shifted from heavy metal music to a quirky dad once his family got a reality show.

Tulsi's Russia Hoax Revelations, Dems Get Top Choice for Senate in NC, What Will Maxwell Say?
Join Jim and Greg for Thursday’s 3 Martini Lunch as they examine whether anyone from President Obama’s administration will be held accountable for concocting and executing the bogus Trump-Russia collusion narrative, Democrats scoring a major recruiting win in North Carolina’s Senate race, and what Ghislaine Maxwell might reveal today in her DOJ interview about the Epstein scandal.

First, they react to Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard explaining how President Obama and his national security team fabricated intelligence to undermine Donald Trump's first term. They also discuss why it's probably going to be very difficult to prosecute or convict members of the team for their actions.

Next, they wince as Democrats in North Carolina reportedly succeed in convincing former Gov. Roy Cooper to run for the Tar Heel State's open U.S. Senate seat. They explain what makes Cooper a tough opponent for the GOP and size up likely Republican candidate and current Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Whatley.

Finally, they wonder what Justice Department officials are hoping to learn from Ghislaine Maxwell today as they interview her about Jeffrey Epstein's repulsive exploitation of girls and other people who were involved. They also address reports that Maxwell is expecting a pardon or commutation for cooperating with the DOJ.

3 Martini Lunch
Trump's Japan Trade Deal, Virginia GOP's Bleak Forecast, Where's the Wildfire Relief Money?
Join Jim and Greg for Wednesday's 3 Martini Lunch as they welcome President Trump's big trade deal with Japan, cringe at the GOP's electoral prospects in Virginia this year, and ask where the $100 million in wildfire relief donations went?

First, they're glad to see President Trump complete a massive trade deal with Japan, with reciprocal tariffs at 15 percent and Japan pledging to invest more than half a trillion dollars in the U.S. Jim says more deals like this and fewer tariff announcements on social media will be good for economic stability and growth.

Next, they groan as the prospects are looking pretty grim thus far for Virginia GOP gubernatorial nominee Winsome Earle-Sears. While GOP nominee Winsome Earle-Sears remains a solid conservative, she trails badly in the polls and fundraising against Democrat Abigail Spanberger. And the Republican running for lieutenant governor is bogged down in controversy that is dividing the party.

Finally, they highlight an effort to track the $100 million that was donated to California wildfire victims in a star--studded benefit concert earlier this year. It turns out the money was given to non-profits but there's not a lot of evidence yet that displaced homeowners are seeing much, if any, money or assistance.

Will the Senate Kill Its Summer Recess? Minnesota Dems Endorse Socialist, Hunter Biden Unloads on Dems
Join Jim and Greg for Tuesday’s 3 Martini Lunch as they dig into President Trump urging the Senate to cancel its summer recess, Democrats in Minnesota endorsing a socialist for mayor of Minneapolis, and Hunter Biden’s blistering attack on high-profile Democrats.

First, they welcome President Trump's call for Senate Majority Leader John Thune to scrap the Senate's August recess so Republicans can push through dozens of judicial and executive nominations. They highlight how Democrats are using procedural tactics to stall confirmations and delay Trump’s personnel and judicial selections from taking office.

Next, they react to Minnesota Democrats formally endorsing socialist State Sen. Omar Fateh in the Minneapolis mayoral race. Fateh supports defunding the police and the Mamdani approach to "affordable" housing. Greg suggests Democrats have no problem with socialists, unless they're worried those socialists might lose. Jim says there doesn't seem to be anything that's too far left for more and more Democrats.

Finally, they go through Hunter Biden's profanity-laced podcast interviews, in which he rips the Democrats who encouraged and forced his dad to abandon his re-election bid. Hunter Biden took aim at Nancy Pelosi and her daughter, George Clooney, James Carville, David Axelrod, Jake Tapper, the Pod Save America guys and more. They point out that a decent amount of what Hunter said was true but he's the worst possible person to deliver the message.

3 Martini Lunch
The Media's Blue Texas Delusion, More Slaughter in Syria, The Left's Colbert Conspiracies
Join Jim and Greg for Monday’s 3 Martini Lunch as they dissect the liberal media’s persistent fantasy of a blue Texas, the horrifying massacres of Christians and Druze in Syria, and the left’s conspiracy-laced outrage over CBS canceling The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

First, Jim calls out Politico for spotlighting Texas State Rep. James Talarico as the latest Democratic hope to flip Texas for the Democrats. Talarico, who recently appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast, is seen as someone who could connect with Christian conservatives. But Talarico isn’t even running statewide, and Jim says there’s no real evidence Democrats are on the brink of flipping the Lone Star State.

Next, they react with horror to reports that more than 700 people have been brutally murdered in Syria in recent days, including Christians and Druze targeted by Sunni Islamist militants. Jim explains what's happening in Syria, the impact of the U.S. lifting sanctions not long ago, and whether the new leader in Syria (who was formerly with ISIS) is incapable or unwilling to stop the bloodshed.

Then, they get a kick out of the left's meltdown over CBS cancelling The Late Show. From Sen. Chris Murphy to former NPR CEO Vivian Schiller, the lefties are convinced President Trump made axing Colbert a condition for approving Paramount's pending merger and we are entering a "bone-chilling" era of censorship. These activists seem uninterested in the fact Colbert's show was losing CBS $40 million per year.

Finally, Jim and Greg pay tribute to Ed Feulner, the founder and longtime president of the Heritage Foundation, who died on Friday, after decades of work in the conservative movement.
