【Podcast】「這人真難聊」這句英文怎麼說？

📍說法1
He’s such a dry texter / sb’s bit dull. / A dull conversationalist.
〖解釋〗如果是文字的訊息聊天就可以用 dry texter，面對面的聊天可以用 dry talker，意思就是『超無聊，不給反應的人』。

📍說法2
There’s just no vibe. / We don’t vibe 拼單字: the mood of a place, situation, person
〖解釋〗這個可以用來說你跟一個人『頻率不對、聊不來』。

【補充學習】
覺得對方很難聊，你想跟朋友抱怨的時候可以說：

• I had to carry the whole conversation. 口語 整場對話都是靠我在撐。
• Every topic just kinda died. / fall flat （口語）. （drop dead) 每個話題很快就結束了。
• I had to come up with all the topics. 我都要一直想話題。
• It felt like I was giving a monologue 感覺我在自言自語。

D: How was the date? 約會怎樣？
E: It was a bit dull, the conversation was so dry. I had to come up with all the topics. 超難聊又很無聊！都是我在開話題。
D: No way. 謀摳零吧～
E: I asked him what he does for fun—he said, “Sleep.” That’s it. Just “sleep.” 我問他平常有什麼興趣。他就只是回答『睡覺』。

「你竟然不知道！」英文怎麼說？

📎 You really don’t know?
D：I can't believe you didn't know! 這句話是最簡單的用法，你也可以說：

• No way! — 不會吧！
• 例句：No way! You didn’t know Stranger Things is on Netflix?
• Are you serious? — 你是認真的嗎？
• 例句：Are you serious? You don’t know Threads?
• You really don’t know? — 你竟然不知道

補充學習

• living under a rock：活在石頭底下，形容資訊脫節。
• get with the program： 跟上時代。
• out of touch ：跟現實脫節，比較偏負面。
• out(in) of the loop
• Media-savvy拼單字：savvy表示常識、能力，所以Media-savvy就是媒體通，用來形容對媒體資訊很熟悉的人。
• in the know：消息靈通、掌握內幕消息的人。
• plugged in拼單字：資訊靈通更新，跟上潮流的。
• with it：跟得上潮流、懂時代（常形容年紀稍長但不落伍的人）。

情境對話
D：Did you hear about the “竟然 vs 居然” debate online?
（你有聽過網路上那個「竟然人 vs 居然人」的討論嗎？）
A：What? No, what’s that?
（什麼？沒耶，那是什麼？）
D：You really don’t know? It went viral on Threads!
（你竟然不知道！那在Threads爆紅耶！）
A：Okay, maybe I’m out of touch… I need time to catch up.

【Podcast】「駕照是雞腿換的」這句英文怎麼說？
「駕照雞腿換的」用來形容一個人的開車技術很差、或是根本不會開車。英文也有類似的用法，雖然不是雞腿，而是 cereal box （麥片盒）。
📍Sb got their license out of a cereal box. （某人的駕照是雞腿換的）

【補充學習】

• driver’s license 駕照
• driving test （學校）/ road test （上路）路考
• driving school 駕訓班
• parallel parking 路邊停車
• reverse parking / back-in parking 倒車入庫（車尾進去）
• pull-in parking：頭進去停車（相對於倒車入庫）

連我的阿嬤都開的比他快。
E: And she’s 70!
而且你阿嬤還70歲耶！

• You haven’t dried your hair.
• Your hair is still wet.

【補充學習】

• 吹風機 hair dryer / blow dryer
• 吹頭髮 dry your hair
• 我頭髮都要吹好久 It takes me a long time /a while to dry my hair.
• 我懶得吹乾 I don’t feel like drying my hair. / I’m too lazy to dry my hair.
• 我頭髮一下就乾了 My hair dries quickly. My hair will be dry in just a sec.

• dark past／dark history 黑歷史
• skeletons in the／your closet 不為人知的醜事或過去的黑歷史
• flashback to (something) 回憶起（某事）
• dwell on the past/ live in the past 沉溺於過去、老是想著過去。
• dig up dirt on someone ：用來形容刻意去挖對方不堪的過去或醜聞。
• checking receipt：查找過往的事蹟，被用在現在翻別人的Facebook使用。

「你已經做得很好了！」英文怎麼說？

• You've done an excellent job.

補充學習

如果想要鼓勵對方、稱讚對方，還有以下幾個片語可以這樣說：

• You nailed it! / Nailed it! / killed it!：to do something successfully，代表表現很棒！做得很讚！ 
• Way to go!：中文可以翻譯為「很好！」「做得好！」。
• Attaboy／Attagirl：表示稱讚、激賞，很棒！做得好。

除了鼓勵之外，你可能也想安慰對方不要想太多，這時候我們可以用哪些片語？

• You're on the right track.：你朝著正確的方向前進，鼓勵對方繼續下去就能成功！
• No sweat! ：別擔心、別緊張。
• Keep your chin up. ：不要氣餒。

情境對話
A: I did a really bad job on this project...
我覺得這次的企劃做得不夠好……。
D: Don't think that way, you've done an excellent job!
別這麼想，你已經做得很好了！
A: Thanks for cheering me up.
