ضيفنا الاقتصادي والسياسي زياد بهاء الدين، أحد مؤسسي الحزب المصري الديمقراطي، ورئيس سابق للهيئة العامة للرقابة المالية، ووزير للتعاون الدولي في الحكومة عام 2013، ويشغل حاليًا رئيس مجلس إدارة بنك الإسكندرية منذ عام 2019. جمع في مسيرته بين العمل الأكاديمي كمحاضر في القانون، والعمل كمحامٍ ومستشار متخصص في تشريعات البنوك. كما أسّس جمعيات أهلية تهتم بالدعم القانوني والمجتمعي.

In the third episode of FilDiwan podcast, prominent Egyptian economist and politician Ziad Bahaa El Din discusses the creative economy in Egypt: its characteristics, what it lacks, and its future in light of rapid technological development.Does the state possess the flexible tools required to keep pace with this evolution? Our guest, economist and politician Ziad Bahaa El Din, is one of the founders of the Egyptian Social Democratic Party. He previously served as Chairman of the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority and as Minister of International Cooperation in the 2013 government. Since 2019, he has held the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Bank of Alexandria.

Throughout his career, he has combined academic work as a lecturer in law with professional practice as a lawyer and consultant specializing in banking legislation. He has also founded civil society organizations focused on legal and community support.
