בפרק המיוחד הזה שצולם מהבית שלי ולא מהאולפן (אלון לא לדאוג! אני אחזור) אירחתי את בנדוד שלי בן.

אינטליגנטי, מוכשר, אחד האנשים עם הכי הרבה פשן ונשמה יהודית, ובלי קשר - יש לו וייבבב.

דווקא בגלל זה היה לי חשוב לשמוע ממנו (ולהשמיע) איך עברו עליו השנתיים האחרונות מאז השביעי באוקטובר 2023.

לא רק אצלנו זזה המחט בשנתיים האחרונות – גם האחים שלנו בקהילות היהודיות ברחבי העולם מרגישים את זה.

אבל לתחושתי משהו זז בלב של צעירי ארה״ב, לפני ה־7 הייתה להם את האפשרות להיות פחות ״מעורבים״ מההורים שלהם בנעשה בישראל.
המציאות הקופחת לא הותירה להם ברירה.

דיברנו על האנטישמיות הגואה, על הקשר בין הפעולות שישראל עושה לבין איך שזה משפיע על יהודי העולם (ספוילר: כשישראל מותקפת – גם יהודי העולם חשים מותקפים).
דיברנו על מה יפה במדינת ישראל ולמה לבן חשוב להיות הקול שלנו.
בן הזכיר לי משהו על הישראליות הבלתי נתפסת שלנו – שיודעת להחזיק עין בוכה עם לב שמח, גם במצבים בלתי נתפסים!!

לסיום אומר שכיוון שאנחנו צריכים להתחיל את הריפוי ולעסוק באיחודים, לדעתי — זה כולל קודם כול את "החזית השמינית", הפנימית.
אבל אולי יש גם חזית "תשיעית"? שכוללת את הקשר שלנו עם יהודי העולם.

This special episode was recorded from my home (not the studio - don’t worry, Alon! I will be back ).
I had the pleasure of hosting my cousin Ben - the definition of the American dream: intelligent, talented, full of passion and Jewish soul… and honestly, just an amazing vibe.

That’s exactly why I wanted to hear from him , and share with you — how the past two years have been for him since October 7th, 2023.
The past two years have moved the needle not only here in Israel, but also for our brothers and sisters in Jewish communities around the world.

I feel that something has shifted in the hearts of young American Jews. Before October 7th, many of them could stay a bit more “detached” from what was happening in Israel - but reality has changed that.

We talked about the rise in antisemitism, about how Israel’s actions affect Jews worldwide (spoiler: when Israel is attacked, Jews everywhere feel it), and about what’s beautiful in the State of Israel - and why it’s so important for Ben to be our voice.
Ben reminded me of something so deeply Israeli - our incredible ability to hold a tearful eye and a joyful heart, even in the most unimaginable situations.

To wrap up, I’ll say this: as we begin the process of healing and focus on unity, I believe it starts with our eighth front — the internal one.
But maybe there’s also a ninth front — the one that includes our connection with Jews around the world.
