As twins, Anna and Kerry were used to being mistaken for one another IRL. But it wasn't until they started their job search that they realized they looked identical on paper too. They both graduated with bachelor's and master's degrees in engineering from Stanford, and both had worked stints at Google and McKinsey - despite having very different interests, talents, and experience.
They also realized that this isn't just a problem for twins - millions of job-seekers are hired or overlooked every year because traditional hiring methods are woefully inadequate. That led them to found their tech startup Searchlight AI where, over 6 years, they developed their own AI models, went through Y Combinator, raised funding from the best VCs in the world, and sold their startup to Multiverse just 3 months ago.
