It was the follow up to the huge Hysteria album, which to date has sold over 25 million copies worldwide, their first album since their 1980’s On Through The Night debut to not be produced by Mutt Lange, and their first album after the death of guitarist Steve Clark, who drank and drugged himself into an early grave. Adrenalize itself sold over 10 millions copies worldwide, 6 million of those were in the first 6 months of release, which probably speaks more to the success of Hysteria than the quality of Adrenalize.
