What the Punk!?
From Baker to Video Game Programmer???? WTP!? It's a Nathan Glynn tell all.
Sully has had a sh*t ton of jobs, but nothing as diversely convoluted as Nathan Glynn. Or at least it seems that way. Nathan's journey from painfully shy teenager to pasty chef, to improve actor, to voice over actor, to audio engineer, and to finally computer game programmer for Rocket Cat, at first seems ridiculous. However in this tell all interview Nathan explains how they all connect and what the secret is to finding your dream job that actually fits your personality, wants, needs, and desires. Oh, I almost forgot to mention he is the voice of the Synth-POP artist Nae's super computer, KIONIUS.

What the Punk!?
Mike "DynaMike" Doyle, blowing the lid off "how to actually" coach youth sports.
"DynaMike" Doyle, one of Sully's favorite tennis students, is an advertising consultant by day and a youth soccer coach by night. A competitive cross-country/ track runner in high school and college, as well as a die hard sports enthusiast and baseball nut, Mike fell in love with the art of coaching through...well, listen to the damn' podcast (along with some Michael Jackson jams) and you will find out how and why coaching isn't just telling kids what to do.

What the Punk!?
Steve Tapas; Comedian and promulgator of all things addictive and introspective
I was out drinking with O.R., my guitar player/songwriting partner from Theft To The Gallows, when I met SteveTapas at Simon's- one of the oldest bars in Chicago. The musty-dusty, low light vibe of the bar, along with it's peeling wall paper was the perfect backdrop to shoot the shit with a complete stranger. The minute Steve bellied up to the bar and ordered both O.R. and myself could feel the Tapas vibes. He was laid back, super personal, funny, and introspective. In a nutshell, he was real. Which in this day and age is hard to find.

What the Punk!?
Rapper SilSuf aka Kayvon Williams Part 2
The smartest thing Sil-Suf ever did was dropping out of high school. I wish I had his temerity when I was a teenager. Now at the age of 22 he has not only earned his high school diploma; he has turned himself into one of the most unique rappers/artists I have heard in a very long time.

What the Punk!?
Gibby Toombs; Singer-Songwriter, Snowboarder, and Kick Ass Live Performer Part 2
The first time I saw Gibby Toombs play was at the Montrose Saloon. He was dressed in a white button down shirt, Khaki pants, sitting by himself at a table quietly waiting to take the stage. "Oh no, here we go again, another singer-songwriter in his late 20's singing Bob Dylan cover songs" is what I thought. I couldn't have been more wrong. When Gibby hit the stage with his acoustic guitar he became Billy Bragg on steroids. This guy was destroying it, original song after original song playing each one as if his life depended on it. When he left the stage the sound engineer shook his head and said, "Holy Shit, no one saw that coming".

What the Punk!?
Jarrett Dapier; Drummer, Librarian, Children's Picture Book and Graphic Novel Author Part 3
This guy is just a plain kick ass dude who does interesting shit all the time. This should be all the summary you need to listen. Did you read the title of the episode?- Drummer, Librarian, Author, and oh yeah I forgot to mention he could have joined the Blue Man Group. Still not sold? He also got to drum at the White House on Halloween during the Obama Administration. Okay, if that doesn't do it. How about he saw Smashing Pumpkins play in a manure field with his wife? I mean talk about being a super fan. Come on, it's time to give Jarret a listen.

What the Punk!?
Mike Clabby, Host of Grandpa's Open Mic and Tell You What! The Podcast Part 2
Let's be completely honest here. Most Open Mic's suck. Wanna be musicians who cannot play their instruments while singing tortured versions of Billie Eillish or Elliot Smith songs for 15 to 20 minutes. Multiply that by 10 more performers who have signed up "on the list" and you have landed in musical hell. Which is why when I walked into Grandpa's Place in Glenview, Illinois to check out their open mic my hopes were pretty low. O.R., L.A. Tom, and myself wanted to try out some new Theft To The Gallows material for our new album, KNOT THREE. What we found was an incredible community of musicians, songwriters, and performers encouraging, supporting, and actually listening, learning, and feeding off one another. Songwriters, Jazz Singers, Folkies, Alt. Rockers, Banjo Players, Guitar Pickers, and the lot of you, this is where you will find me on most Tuesday nights. This interview is with the man who is behind putting it together, Mike Clabby. Please join me now at Mike Clabby's Open Mic.

What the Punk!?
Who the F is Clare Manning?- Socialite?, Influencer?, Movie Curator?, Theologian?, Concert Promotor? Part 2
Who the F is Claire Manning? More importantly who the F are you, or me for that matter? Aren't we all trying to figure out what makes us tick. The time bombs, the events, people blowing up our lives bringing us to our authentic selves. Even though this episode is Claire's story it may help those who want to exist in the margins, in the underground, at a local level that creates visceral relationships while in search of self meaning. This is positive disintegration at it's finest.

What the Punk!?
Lonne G, Vietnam Vet and Rhythm and Blues Journeyman Part 2
Lonne G at 73 years old has more life, drive, and wisdom than anyone I have ever met. This interview is one for the ages. It is filled with his thoughts on music, life, family, friends, along with spiritual lessons from a man, "who never saw the financial success" from his career, but did receive a greater payoff in the long run. This episode is not a closing chapter. It is the prologue to a musical book that Lonne keeps writing and singing. He is always holding on to the BLUES and so should you!
