9. Weirdly Wired Woman - Sadie Higgins
Episode 9 is all about finding your authentic self with my friend and fellow Weirdly Wired Woman - Sadie Higgins! Sadie shares about her many experiences and how they have helped her find her authentic self and redefine success. ✨About our Guest✨ Sadie Higgins is an entrepreneur, writer, frequent podcast guest, music enthusiast, and mother of three. In 2014, she started her first business, Pluck, when her son, Heath, was three months old. Featured in Boston Magazine (https://www.bostonmagazine.com/health/2014/09/26/brow-bar-boston-pluck-sadie-higgins/), Pluck travels to businesses in Boston to provide beauty services for busy women (and sometimes men), right in their offices.  Before becoming an entrepreneur, Sadie lived many lives as a magazine writer, sales agent for a travel company, barista, and a receptionist at a private school. She learned to navigate the ups and downs of self-worth through lessons in failure. By the time the pandemic hit and Pluck came to a (temporary) screeching halt, she had begun planning a digital startup that was coincidentally fit for lockdown. It allowed groups to write cards and letters that were signed privately by each member, which were then emailed to its recipient as a sort of love bomb for special occasions.  When she realized it didn’t have a solid business plan, she pivoted to building an app called Gleam, which was created to help relieve the burden of remembering important dates and finding gifts for loved ones, while simultaneously supporting small businesses. Gleam notified friends and family of an upcoming special event, like a birthday, and sent personalized gift suggestions from small businesses. But building and running a startup just didn’t feel right. She didn’t want to burn out on something she wasn't even passionate about. And this discovery led her to redefine her ideal of success. She is currently writing her first book. 8. Book Club with Angie Colee
This week I'm talking to my friend, mentor, and coach Angie Colee. She's a fellow ADHD Entrepreneur and AUTHOR because her book PERMISSION TO KICK ASS drops at the end of the month!!! I got to read it early (yay!) so we talk about that, ADHD, and all kinds of fun topics. ✨About our Guest✨ Angie is a business mentor for rule breakers and rebels. She believes creativity is one of the most valuable assets on the planet, that business skills can be learned by anyone, and that people (NOT profits or processes) are the most important part of business. Her mission is to help you grow your business with more confidence and less stress... without becoming a completely different person or losing your edge. Angie has a Master’s degree from Carnegie Mellon and has consulted with and run creative teams for Jeff Walker’s Product Launch Formula (PLF), MasterClass, Lowe’s, Copy Chief, Orzy Media, and Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad brand. When she's not writing or publishing new episodes of her podcast, Permission to Kick Ass, you’ll find her on the road living as a full-time digital nomad with her cats, Stella and Ollie. The Kindle version of her book, Permission to Kick Ass, is officially available for pre-order! The myth of job security might feel great. But what’s even better? Creating your own security.  With the right business, you can enjoy what you love about your career and get rid of what you don’t. And it doesn’t matter what your office looks like.

You can also  * Set work hours that fit your life * Work with clients you like…and who like you * Develop multiple income sources * Create systems that work for your way of thinking * Spend your precious time building your OWN dream I did it. With a massive career shift, undiagnosed ADHD, a pandemic that started in my second year of business. I can’t imagine going back. Why would I? I have more flexibility, more time, and the same income. I want women who feel stuck in a career world not built for them to do that, too.  Which is why I created the 🌺Break Free & Bloom Masterplan🌺to: * Help you figure out what will make you blossom instead of wilting away in a cubicle * Cultivate a work environment that fits your life * Show you how to get your business plan to take root So say goodbye to working in a way that doesn’t work for you. 7. Book Club with Erin Kehrier, LCSW
Episode 7 is such a fun one! I am joined by a great friend and fellow ADHD woman Erin Kehrier, LCSW, and we are jumping into this book club head on with James Clear’s Atomic Habits. This book has been recommended to me many times and I knew it would be perfect for our first exploration into wether neurotypical advice really fits for those of us with ADHD and other forms of neurodivergence. In this episode Erin and I connect about the parts of the books we liked and the ones that didn’t seem to hold much weight for us. We would love to hear any experiences or feedback you’ve had with this book OR suggestions for other books for our Weirdly Wired guest book club! A little more about our guest: Erin Kehrier is a licensed clinical social worker providing virtual psychotherapy services, including EMDR, to adults in Texas and Michigan. Her practice focuses on addressing trauma, depression, anxiety, and ADHD. 6. Reframing our Narrative
In this quick solo episode I talk about reframing our narratives and how we can make our lives a little more exciting as we navigate this earthly plane. This month is breast cancer awareness month as well as ADHD awareness month. I am hosting a few co-working sessions in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness and ADHD Awareness Month. These sessions are for people in my community to sign up for mammograms and other boring appointment making type tasks that ADHDers and many people find difficult. This is just one way I want to give back to my community. Here’s the link to the “Bosom Buddies” co-working sessions! https://www.weirdlywiredwomen.com/bbsignup As always you can find us at weirdlywiredwomen.com 💜 There you can check out my free guide Break Free & Bloom when you subscribe to my mailing list! 🌺 Break Free & Bloom: A Masterplan to Cultivate a Livelihood Rooted in Your Life.
