We watched the HBO original series “Sort Of” in July 2022. We didn’t realize until episode 7 or 8 that the show is set in Toronto; it could just as easily be a U.S. city. We watched the 2019 movie “Knives Out” in June 2022. With an all-star cast and some sharp decor, this mystery has more twists and turns than devious family members. Christopher Plummer plays expertly, Chris Evans rocks a sweater, Daniel Craig’s accent is ridiculous, and Ana de Armas wins the day in this delightful romp. We watched the first season of the Amazon Prime series “Invincible” in spring 2022. This is an animated series based on the comic series by Robert Kirkman of The Walking Dead fame, with several characters voiced by Walking Dead alums.
