[About The Episode]
We constantly hear many Christian believers describe their faith and devotion as a relationship with God devoid of transactions. But I beg to differ. I think transactions are at the very foundation of every relationship, and "faith" isn't exempt. This episode discusses transactional Christianity and why people might not be attending church as much anymore in Nigeria.

Christianity is the largest religion in the world, boasting billions in numbers. Chances are you've interacted with a Christian and came out of it smiling or fuming (50/50). This episode talks about the fuming part. Why are Christians constantly accused of lacking empathy and kindness, even though they say those are their MO?

[About The Episode]
Forgiveness is a concept that manifests itself across many aspects of our lives. We're taught it's a virtue of divine origins and that we should always, always forgive. But when the harm is done, the hurt lingers and forgiving is not what comes to mind. Are we wrong? Is it right to ask or demand forgiveness of those who have been hurt and victimized?

There's a difficulty in describing the state of emotional void. A state of extreme apathy, where you simply just feel nothing, numb. It's difficult to describe because how can you describe emptiness caused by and overfill?

"I don't trust anyone. I don't think I can trust again". Many of us have been here (including myself). Some have conquered this, and some of us are still dealing with it. But the statement got me into a spiral of questions: What is Trust? What factors motivate trust? etc. In a series of upcoming episodes including this one, we'll explore the concept of trust to better understand it, and how we relate to it.
This was motivated by a listener, Peter Taiwo - you can follow him on Instagram and show him some love: https://www.instagram.com/teepeerespect/

A rhetoric that commonly surrounds anti-lgbt content and personalities is the idea that their existence is of existential threat and danger to children. I have found that this is just one of the reasons we give ourselves to justify the dehumanization of those we consider "other". Homosexuality is a sin, but sins are still committed by humans.
