Bruno Santos originally from Portugal but living in Macau since 1986, considers himself a Bartender. This is meant to express his deep passion for the cocktail culture. He began his career in the hospitality industry in 2005 when he joined Sands Casino Macau and since then he has been promoting spirits and creating signature cocktails. Along the years he has worked for the various prestigious hotels in Macau. He is the owner of well-established Local Italian restaurant Antica Trattoria and Black Lotus Liquid Experiences.
Recently and following his long-time dedication to the Internattional Bartenders Association, Bruno was elected as the New President of this historical association.
Dr. Daniel Baptista-Hon is a Macau-born scientist and educator, with a PhD in Physiology and
Assistant Dean at the Faculty of Medicine, Macau University of Science and Technology. He is
passionate about training future doctors for Macau and advancing cancer, neuroscience and
infectious disease research.
Introduction
Dr. Daniel Baptista-Hon is an academic who was born and raised in Macau. His journey to train as a
scientist took him far from home. He moved to the UK at the age of 15 to complete his high school,
and University education. He studied for his Bachelors and Masters in Manchester and subsequently
earned his PhD in Physiology from the University of Edinburgh, where he explored the molecular
causes of heart disease. He later trained as a postdoctoral research fellow in cell biology at the
School of Medicine at the University of Dundee.
In 2020, Daniel felt the pull to return home, inspired by the chance to give back to Macau. He joined
the Faculty of Medicine at the Macau University of Science and Technology to help train the first
generations of homegrown doctors. He is now Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Medicine making a
difference to healthcare education and medical research in Macau. His research ranges from cancer,
neuroscience and infectious diseases. He is also passionate about making medical issues and topics
accessible to the general public.

At just 23 years old, Cassandra is a dynamic model, dancer, and content creator, proudly representing her mixed Chinese and Portuguese heritage. Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in English Studies from the University of Macau in 2023, Cassandra has since embarked on a journey as a freelance dancer and model. Her passion for the arts is matched only by her commitment to advocacy, particularly in the realm of mental health.
Last year, Cassandra faced a profound personal tragedy when a close friend and manager, struggling with mental health issues, tragically took her own life due to relentless cyberbullying. After being a victim of cyber bullying herself, the heartbreaking experience ignited a fire within her to champion mental health awareness and support victims of cyberbullying and suicide prevention. She believes in the power of compassion and is determined to honor her friend’s memory by advocating for a kinder, more supportive online community.
In addition to her advocacy, Cassandra is passionate about animal rescue and establishing mental health support groups. She envisions a world where mental well-being is prioritized and where individuals feel safe and supported.
Beyond her advocacy work, Cassandra dreams of opening her own bakery and fashion line, combining her love for creativity with her entrepreneurial spirit. With her motto, “Be the change you wish to see” she is excited to take the Miss Universe stage, inspiring others to embrace their unique stories and advocate for change.

I was born in Macau and moved to Hong Kong when I was five years old, where I have lived and studied since. At the age of fifteen, I went to the UK to continue my education until my first year of university. However, I found that I couldn’t adapt to university life, so I made the decision to quit and enroll in culinary school. After graduating in one year, I began my apprenticeship at the Berkeley Hotel in Knightsbridge. Eventually, I returned to Macau and worked at a Michelin-starred restaurant, continuing to pursue my passion for cooking.

co-founder of Sri Shakti Academy, Hong Kong. She is a disciple of late Guru Pt. Hazarilalji and Smt.
Sunayana Hazarilalji, both doyens of Jankiprasad school of Banaras Gharana and has received
training in a Guru Shishya parampara tradition.
She moved to Hong Kong in 2001 and since then she has completely devoted herself in spreading the
awareness of Indian Classical Dance and Culture in Hong Kong.Through Sri Shakti Academy, the first
professional Indian dance company set up in Hong Kong, she trains numerous students, gives lecture
demonstrations at the prestigious universities of Hong Kong and performs at various dance festivals
organized by the Hong Kong Government and the Indian Consulate of Hong Kong. A recipient of the
National Scholarship from the Government of India and a graded artist at Doordarshan, she has

George Dovas encountered Iyengar Yoga
in Sydney, Australia in 1999 when he was
working as a fitness instructor. At that
time, George was keen to understand
what it means to be "healthy" and “fit”. The
teachings of BKS Iyengar revealed aspects
of human health that George hadn’t
encountered in any other modality or by
any other “fitness expert”.
Not only was BKS Iyengar’s vision of
human health profound, it was also his
brilliance as a teacher that was
noteworthy, and the skill with which he
could convey the theoretical
understanding of total “health”
interwoven with the practices to achieve
that.
In 2001 George relocated to Hong Kong
at a time when fitness and Yoga were
rapidly growing in South East Asia.
Now, George is the Director of The
Iyengar Yoga Centre of Hong Kong. He
teaches students of all levels and is a
mentor for upcoming teachers. George is
an assessor of teachers seeking Iyengar Yoga certification in South East Asia and
China.
As well as teaching Yoga, he has given talks on Yoga, its benefits and how this
ancient science is being verified by modern science.
Annually he studies at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute (RIMYI) in
Pune, India with the Iyengar family.
Formerly, as well as working in the fitness industry, he worked as a business
consultant for a top tier professional-services firm.
John has been a student of Yoga, of AVY since 1987, though during retrospective reverie, john realises that much of his early years at school where spent daydreaming – “eyes fixed out through the window as if travelling to another dimension of reality..”
When does one start yoga? John questions and believes that once you start to question where are you, where have you come from, what are you, what are you doing and where are you going? when these questions percolate and bubble to the surface, you become aware you are already on the Journey of enquiry, the enquiry into your true nature and purpose for being here on this physical plan. It is through the practice of AVY and deep enquiry into the self that John has brought all his earlier experiences and meditations into his life work of sharing.
John’s teaching is therefore very metaphorical, analytical, technical and often humorous, his teaching style appeals to students of many backgrounds and nationalities, teaching workshops throughout the world. John remains an avid student of yoga and relationship fascinated by the linking of different traditions and cultures through symbols, language and the Counted Method of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.

Oxana Banshikova is a distinguished dancer, choreographer and dance
educator. Hailing from Kazakhstan, she specializes in Bharatanatyam– South Indian Classical Dance and its fusion with other art and dance forms. Oxana graduated from the world famous Kalakshetra College of Fine Arts, Chennai,India.
In 20 years of her professional dance career, Oxana has performed and taught
this dance form in India, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Hong Kong. She is founder and
director of Cosmic Dance company, founded in Hong Kong in 2009.
Rather than staying in her comfort zone, she continues to challenge herself in
different industries. Oxana has background in ballet and jazz and is certified
Pilates and Zumba instructor.
This breadth of experience has allowed her to develop a unique perspective
and approach to directing and teaching by creating supportive, safe and
inspiring environment for her students. Oxana is passionate about identifying
current dance trends and innovations to keep her choreographies fresh and exciting.
