One two, Freddy's coming for you, three four, better lock your door.  Five.. er... wrong scary movie!  Our intrepid hosts decided to brave the new Friday the 13th game available on Steam.  A little bit of information on the game from it's Wikipedia entry: Friday the 13th: The Game is a survival horrorvideo game developed by IllFonic, and published by Gun Media. It is based on the film franchise of the same name owned by Paramount Pictures. It was released on May 26, 2017[1] for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game is an asymmetrical multiplayer game, pitting up to seven players controlling Camp Crystal Lake counselors against one player controlling Jason Voorhees. It is a semi-open world game, with players able to explore it further.[2] The excitement started right off the bat as Joker was able to play as Jason right away.  He tried his best but wasn't very successful.  Then came the dry spell where none of our hosts were able to be Jason.  It also meant there was a lot of high pitched screaming and general skittishness as our hosts become Jason fodder over and over.  Our hosts probably played 4-5 games in a row where they all died one right after the other.  They aren't too good at being Councillors.  In fact, most of the time aCe could be seen on the Facebook stream spending most of his time hiding away in random places instead of running around trying to find items and survive. The premise of the game is that up to 8 Councillors are trying to work semi-together to save themselves from the random player who was chosen to be Jason.  There are special items littered across the landscape that can be used to accomplish this.  Keys, gas, and battery to use for the car.  Pipe wrenches, bats, shotguns, pots and pans among many other items to use for protection.  And of course what game wouldn't be complete without bear traps to use along with flare guns and fireworks to distract Jason from choking the life out of you.  Or breaking your back.  Or ramming a metal pipe through your skull or any other number of ways he can kill you. Once the game gets going there's not a TON of action, but you are on the edge of your seat the entire time.  The sound track significantly helps with that, and adds random "kill,kill,kill" sounds randomly through out the round to make sure that you're on the edge of your seat and wits. All in all, our hosts had a great time, and I'm sure there will be another future episode of this game!

In this episode of Two Dudes 1P, our hosts initially decided to do some alien catching in Elite Dangerous.  However after noticing that it would be between 30 to 80 jumps to get to the area where aliens have been seen, it was quickly decided to instead buggy around on a planet. A bit about Elite: Dangerous from the Wikipedia entry: Elite: Dangerous is a space adventure, trading, and combat simulation video game developed and published by Frontier Developments.  So, while trying to land Jahner managed to blow up is ship crash landing, and when he finally did land, he did the one thing you really shouldn't do... Shoot the drones.  That led to our hosts being chased away from their ships, Jahner loosing his buggy, and then loosing another ship because it crashed into the planet after being damaged from the drones.  All while aCe laughed! After they played some Elite: Dangerous they decided to play some Star Citizen.  A little bit about the game from their Wikipedia entry: Star Citizen is an upcoming space sim video game for Microsoft Windows and Linux. A strong focus will be placed on player interaction, with player behavior influencing and being influenced by a dynamic economy system.[12] So our hosts decided to play some space mode stuff, where they fight wave's of enemies.  Initially it was pretty fun, but they quickly realized their starter ships barely damaged the enemy ships.  They also noticed that the AI of the enemy ships was a little wonky at times, where they would only fly in circles. All in all, it wasn't the most exciting episode, but it's one for the books, and gets our hosts back on the track of recording!

In this episode of TwoDudes1P our intrepid hosts are once again joined by Zer0. They decided to play some Black Desert Online. A little bit about the game from the Wikipedia entry:   Black Desert Online (Korean: 검은사막) is a sandbox-oriented massively multiplayer online role-playing game by Korean video game developer Pearl Abyss.[1][2] The game has been in development since 2010, and entered closed beta testing (CBT) in October 2013.[3][4][5][6]Black Desert Online uses Pearl Abyss' own "Black Desert" engine specifically created to handle the fast rendering required for its seamless world and large-scale castle sieges.[7][8] It was released in Korea in 2014, Japan and Russia in 2015, and North America and Europe in 2016. Black Desert Online uses a free-to-play model in Korea, Japan and Russia,[1][9][10] while in Europe and North America the game uses a buy-to-play model. This episode starts out with everybody making fun of aCe's in game name of "Ahsteen" because his normal choice of "Astien" was already taken. Of course an episode wouldn't be complete without Jahner almost immediately becoming separated from the group. Of course, aCe wasn't much better, as about 20 minutes into the show, he forgot that we had already started. Shortly thereafter the adventurers discovered that the horses didn't' have all the pieces that they were supposed to have in the undercarriage area. That was quickly followed up by a couple great references to "rims" and other such great things. After a bunch of standing around, our gamers decided to finally go and kill some mobs. Of course that leads to some pretty quick deaths and rescues from the veteran player Zero. All in all, a great time was had, and this is another episode you don't want to miss!

In this 2nd Episode of Season 2, our intrepid explorers, and their special guests "Zero" and "Concentus" decided to revisit Ark: Survival Evolved.  There was tons of fun to be had as our hosts guest Zero hadn't played Ark at all before.  Of course, our hosts had to teach her how to Poop on command which in turn led to its own 15 minutes of shenanigans.  Jahner was always getting separated and dying, Zero was running around trying to figure out how to put clothes on, and Concentus was the first person to have all the things before everybody since he's so hardcore. Our hosts have played this game before, last season and that episode can be viewed here: [Season 1: Bro's before Dino's].  This game continues to get better and better with every update.   Although currently there is some issues floating around with a lawsuit.  Here's an excerpt from a Kotaku article which can be found here:  Game Studios Enter Legal Battle Over The Making Of Ark: Survival Evolved In court filings obtained by Kotaku this week, Trendy’s lawyers allege that Stieglitz had violated contractual agreements not to compete with his former company and “not to solicit Trendy employees.” They also accuse Wildcard of “tortious interference” with those contractual agreements, claiming that these acts “have had a devastating impact on Trendy’s business” and arguing that Ark is directly competing with Dungeon Defenders both for players and developer talent. The lawsuit, which is ongoing, is filled with allegations about Stieglitz and his involvement with Ark: Survival Evolved. Wildcard’s leadership has denied that Stieglitz played a major role in the game’s creation, but Trendy argues otherwise, and they’ve filed for “injunctive relief and damages” in the Eighth Judicial Circuit of Florida. On April 27, the court will hear arguments on Trendy’s most recent motion, which asks for a temporary injunction until the case is settled. If granted, the injunction could temporarily halt development on Ark: Survival Evolved and even force Wildcard to pull the game from Steam as the lawsuit continues. THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN!  That's right the boys are back, and better than ever!  In this first episode of the second season the boys sat down and played some Need For Speed: Most Wanted.  A little bit of info about the game from Wikipedia:   Need for Speed: Most Wanted is set in an open world environment. The game takes on the gameplay style of the first Most Wanted title in the Need for Speed franchise. Most Wanted allows players to select one car and compete against other racers in three types of events: Sprint races, which involves traveling from one point of the city to another, Circuit races, each having two or three laps total and Speed runs, which involve traversing through a course in the highest average speed possible. There are also Ambushraces, where the player starts surrounded by cops and must evade their pursuit as quickly as possible. Overall they had a fun time, but compared to some of the other racing games out there, the different modes seemed to be limited.  That didn't stop them however, from crashing into each other over and over, and doing some crazy stunts.  Overall the crew had a fun time as usual, and you should enjoy the show!  

In this season finale episode of Two Dudes One Podcast, our trio of hosts decided two things.  1.  Play for a couple of hours since it's going to the season finale episode. 2.  Play one or more of their favorite games from this past season.  Well, the vote was unanimous and the game was GTA V. When a young street hustler, a retired bank robber and a terrifying psychopath find themselves entangled with some of the most frightening and deranged elements of the criminal underworld, the U.S. government and the entertainment industry, they must pull off a series of dangerous heists to survive in a ruthless city in which they can trust nobody, least of all each other. While their former GTA V episode was not the most fast paced episode, it did keep our hosts busy, and entertained the most.  That was the deciding factor for all three of our hosts when decidding what game to play for the night.  Right off the bat, our hosts earned a quick 3 stars by killing some innocent bystanders, and subsequently the cops that showed up thereafter.  It was then decided to drive around and stay alive as long as possible.  Best line of the night comes right in the start of the show from Jahner; "Oh Shit, swat cars with people on the side!".  Between multiple deaths, squad cars stuck in walls, a couple of cheaters on one server, and death by flare gun, this is an exciting episode you won't want to miss.

In this weeks episode of Two Dudes One Podcast, our hosts delve into the Zombie genre again with Left 4 Dead 2. Set in the zombie apocalypse, Left 4 Dead 2 (L4D2) is the highly anticipated sequel to the award-winning Left 4 Dead, the #1 co-op game of 2008. This co-operative action horror FPS takes you and your friends through the cities, swamps and cemeteries of the Deep South, from Savannah to New Orleans We started out in a Co-Op campaign, and plowed through zombies for a few levels.  aCe starts off with a bat running into the crossfire.  They shortly get stuck in  room with each other, and tons of zombies trying to jam into the door.  Which prompts a hearty debate about the difference between a Sword, and a Katana.  Jahner threatens to go to "another room" to get his sword, and I think we all knew what he was really talking about.  At this point Jdawg joins our hosts for awhile and gives them some sorely needed tips and tricks.  The fun continues on from the apartment building, to the outside, to inside the mall.

In this episode of Two Dudes, One Podcast our trio of hosts went old(ish) school and played some Duke Nukem Forever.  They were also joined by Raidur from SubSpace Radio. Put on your shades and step into the boots of Duke Nukem. The alien hordes are invading and only Duke can save the world. Pig cops, alien shrink rays and enormous alien bosses can’t stop this epic hero from accomplishing his goal: to save the world, save the babes and to be a bad-ass while doing it. In what could only have been intervention from the nerd gods, their first map was a remake from the original Duke Nukem 3D, "Hollywood".  The action started right off with all of the hosts doing their favorite Duke Nukem lines over and over.  First kill was awarded to aCe, as he snuck up on Jahner while he was probably monkeying around with something.  Joker won that round, and continued to dominate for most of the episode.  For more, follow the links below!

The dudes decide it's time for some zombie bashing. What makes it even better is they were joined by Zeroniusrex. Some of you may remember her from the Face the Foundry days. The laughs are continuous and the bullets fly. Dead Island Riptide takes players to the island of Palanai on the Banoi archipelago, infested with bloodthirsty Zombies and only a few remaining Survivors still fighting for their lives. Introducing new terrifying enemies, deadly weapons, a new playable character and much more, Dead Island Riptide will draw players back into a world that has grown corrupt - with the last rays of hope vanishing in rising tides. This episode was one of the toughest games we've played so far.  We played for little over an hour, and it really felt like we didn't get that far.  We should have gotten an idea about how tough it was because of how long it took to get through the required "tutorial" / Prologue part. Nonetheless, the laughter was heavy, the jokes were plentiful, and a great time was had.  We were joined by a former guest of our old podcast "Zero" from Cryptic Studios.  Right away she was up to her old shenanigans, by agro'ing several large groups of zombies to us! It didn't take long for "Pimp Cane" references, and "f f f f f f f f f f" to start popping up sporadically either.

Wildstar Online originally got its start as a payed subscription MMO, but followed the growing trend of MMO's these days and went to FTP after a brief closed and open beta. Blast off for an epic adventure of galactic proportions! Choose a side and fight for control of Nexus, while uncovering the secrets of the hyper-advanced Eldan that disappeared from the planet long ago. Our hosts started off with a couple of minor tech glitches, so of course Jahner had to play some Adele for the hosts to listen to while aCe fixed stuff.  As our hosts got into the game play of Wildstar, they quickly learned that Jahner likes to wander off and hide will aCe and Joker do all the heavy lifting.  He of course denied this several times, while hiding in the bushes, and threatening to make Two Dudes One Podcast into a One man show.  After challenges were thrown back and forth our hosts decided to throw down and duel each other.  Joker and Jahner went first with the latter being the loser.  Jahner decided to challenge aCe as well, with the latter also beating Jahner.  Chat also trended towards aCe's fiance', and the fact that she's a Persian.  Lots of fun and insults all in between so be sure to check out the video!

In this episode, our Trio of hosts play one of the most anticipated games of 2015, Star Wars Battlefront (Beta). Feel the ominous thud of an AT-AT stomping down on the frozen tundra of Hoth. Zip through the lush forests of Endor on an Imperial speeder bike while dodging incoming blaster fire. Engage in intense dogfights as squadrons of X-wings and TIE fighters fill the skies. Immerse yourself in the epic Star Wars™ battles you’ve always dreamed of and create new heroic moments of your own inStar Wars™ Battlefront™. Our hosts of course stumble through for the first few minutes of the episode trying to invite each other to a game.  And then the action begins on the planet Hoth as our intrepid hero's take part in one of the Star Wars universe's famous battles.  The kills are fast and furious as our hosts get a kill and pay for it 3-4 times over in deaths.  There was of course several not so great renditions of MC Chris' "Fetts Vette". Next round they decided to play "Defend / Reclaim the Pod" or some such nonsense.  That  resulted in a few great sneak up kills and realizations, like the fact that mud hurts... Great graphics combined with great nostalgia led to a pretty fun episode.  Check it out!

In this episode, we join our intrepid team of hosts as they play Ark: Survival Evolved. As a man or woman stranded naked, freezing & starving on a mysterious island, you must hunt, harvest, craft items, grow crops, & build shelters to survive. Use skill & cunning to kill, tame, breed, & ride Dinosaurs & primeval creatures living on ARK, and team up with hundreds of players or play locally! The action starts hard and heavy, as the group starts out the show talking about a base attack that left them dino-less, and mostly resource-less, save for some hidden stuff. While making a plan to scope out who they felt was the protagonists, our hosts spot a spy on the beach, and immediately the chase is on.  The unfortunate victim turned out to be FunkyBacon, who was not a part of the war that they were trying to build.  That was a terrible idea, because after about 15 minutes, they were all pretty lost. One of our hosts trekked out onto the beach and discovered an Argentavis for the first time, after it threw his Raptor into the air in retaliation for attacking him.  Finally they group got together, and discovered how to poop on command. "Turkey's Attack", probably should have been the name of the show.  Or "Jahner's Lost", as he tends to get lost in the episode quite often. About 45 minutes into the show Joker decided he wanted to see what happens when he gets the agro of about 7 carnivorous dino's.  Best quote probably goes to aCe for "My raptor poops more than... me". All in all, it was a great episode, and you will enjoy!

In another one of our faster paced games, our Trio set out to play some Battlefield 4.   Explore a vast range of experiences that allow you to play your way. Be the lone wolf to take control of your own destiny or work together in tight-knit five-man squads to strike as a team. New maps, more vehicles, weapons and destruction allow you to create your own path and play to your strengths. Absolutely nothing compares to the sheer scale and scope of Battlefield 4. The action started off a bit slow as we all tried to remember the buttons for everything.  Then the map changed, and it was all fun and games from there.  Jahner and aCe spent most of the time riding around on the quad bikes into dangerous situations and getting blown up.  It took several respawns to figure out that we could spawn on top of another squad mate, and once we did that there were several situations of empty vehicles crashing to explode just after a new team mate spawned onto it.  One of the highlights was when our Trio of dudes was in a Helicopter, and Joker got shot out of the helicopter and fell to his death.  Best stunt though, goes to aCe, who jumped a hill and managed to hit "E" at just the right time to get into Jahner's Helicopter.

In this episode our intrepid trio decided to play some Grand Theft Auto V. The fun started almost immediately as we let Jahner drive, and he almost immediately crashes our first car in some tunnel. We let him drive, but really he's pretty terrible. Between missed turns, BOFA jokes, and car ramps, we had a lot of fun with this episode. We learned that we're kind of like dogs, in the sense that we're easily distracted in open world games. Our first mission we got sidetracked by several ramp jumps and stunts. aCe also managed to be the only person to go into the first mission with 1 bullet. He also died first as he was getting into the plane. The next mission involved everyone breaking into the army base, which had it's own share of Shenanigans. In the fastest paced episode yet, our Trio of hosts played a new take on an old classic.  Quake Live, is a faced pace run and gunner available on Steam. From the legendary series that founded the online shooter genre comes the most exciting, energetic, and fast-paced shooter on the Internet. Play against players around the world in over 100 arenas, and a dozen game modes, in one of the most competitive shooters online today. Welcome to Quake Live. Right off the bat, our hosts were not so quietly gunning for reach other and trying to kill each other.  The server we played on was fairly busy with people popping off and on.  We played several matches against each other, but the most intense, loud, and fun match was the 2nd.  It was a extremely close competition with Jahner coming from behind to catch up, but in the end it was to no avail as aCe pulled ahead and won the round.  The action is intense, the frags are a plenty, and deaths were handed out in grand form.  One of our funnest podcasts to date, don’t miss this one!

After having lost the first recording, our adventurous Trio had to re-record the episode. Mostly they claimed that it was similar to the famous song “Tribute” by Tenacious D.  The previous recording was supposedly the best ever!Most of the episode was comprised of Jahner and Joker’s computers not co-operating.   We chatted about the (now released) windows. Finally after about 20 minutes into the show we started doing different modes.

On our inaugural episode of 2D1P, we decided to start out with a bang.  We invited our friends Concentus from SubSpace Radio, and Joker, who is aCe's real life brother, and also formerly from SSR. We played for about an hour together with newb characters in Borderlands 2.  Mostly it was Concentus charging WAY ahead of the rest of us (read Jahner and aCe because they’re newbs.) Joker handled himself for the most part, but aCe however, died probably close to a million times. We fairly certain aCe got an Achievement for how terrible he did! All in all, it was classic Jahner and aCe, accompanied by two great guests.  The insults were fast and furious, with Mom jokes sprinkled in for good mesaure.
