🎙️ Episode 2 – The Lie That I Lived
In this episode of Turning Point Journey, I open up about the lie I lived — the mask I wore for years while struggling inside. On the outside, I seemed fine: smiling at family gatherings, keeping up appearances, and pretending everything was under control. But inside, I was breaking.
This episode is about the hidden battles so many of us fight. It’s about the disconnect between the person we show the world and the pain we carry in silence. For me, alcohol became the tool I used to keep up that lie, to numb, to perform, to avoid the truth. But living that way came at a cost.
We’ll explore:
How and why people hide behind “the lie” of addiction or perfection
The emotional toll of pretending everything is fine
The moment I realized the mask couldn’t hold anymore
What it means to begin living honestly, even when it feels terrifying
“The Lie I Lived” is more than my story, it’s a reflection of the quiet suffering many go through. By sharing it, I hope to help others see that they’re not alone, and that honesty, though difficult, is the first step toward freedom.
If you’ve ever smiled through pain, hidden behind a mask, or felt the exhaustion of keeping up appearances, this episode is for you.
Subscribe to Turning Point Journey and join me as we uncover the truth behind the stories we tell ourselves, and discover the power of choosing honesty over illusion.
What if your turning point didn’t come with fireworks… but with silence?
In this first episode, we open the door quietly, exploring what it really looks like to begin again. No big announcements. No dramatic crash. Just a moment. A choice. A quiet truth that refused to stay buried.
🔍 Inside this episode:
• Why transformation rarely looks like the movies
• The power of small, unseen decisions
• Letting go of who you pretended to be
• Why the first step isn’t flashy, but it’s everything
💭 Reflection Prompt:
“What moment did you realize you couldn’t keep living the same way?”
