100 Shades of the EU - Ep. 1: Economic Governance, Crises and the EU Peripheries – Interview With Marica Frangakis

transform! europe is excited to present our new podcast series "100 Shades of the EU".

This podcast is dedicated to exploring relevant and pressing topics for the EU peripheries in particular, and the EU in general, with selected experts and guests.

By engaging with these voices, we aim to expand on some of the themes addressed in our 2022 publication "100 Shades of the EU - Mapping the political economy of the EU peripheries".

You can access the full study and download executive summaries in multiple languages — including English, Portuguese, Greek, Hungarian, Lithuanian, and more — on our website.

In this first episode Veronika Sušová-Salminen, one of the authors of the study, speaks with Marica Frankagis, a Greek economist, with extensive published work on finance, macro policy and European affairs, and Co-Chair of the Euromemo Group, about the challenges and opportunities of the euro as a common currency for the EU peripheral economies.
