Greg has been with CORUS and AM640 since Fall 2019 when he crossed over from Sportsnet 590, the Fan after 9 1/2 years wanting to do something more challenging and diverse than "just" sports.
After success early in his career in Detroit co-hosting the top-rated morning sports talk show in the entire state of Michigan from 2002 to 2007, Greg came to Toronto and CORUS/AM640 to co-host "The Bill Watters Show" when the company had the broadcast rights to the Toronto Maple Leafs.
His time at Sportsnet 590, The Fan began in 2010, and also featured a successful run in morning drive in two incarnations, between 2011 and 2019, so morning audiences are already very familiar in Toronto with his knowledge and personality.
Greg has broadcast play-by-play from several Super Bowls for radio in the United Kingdom, and handled OHL play-by-play for the Windsor Spitfires and Saginaw Spirit from 2002-2008.
His radio recipe is to "play the hits" and "keep things moving", with a mix of news, politics, social commentary, sports, and entertainment. The things people talk about at their dining room table, backyard barbecues, and at kids' sporting events are the things he wants the show to be about.
Greg's current joy is navigating two teenage boys through as he describes it, "an era of adjustment" with his wife of 17 years. His hobbies include making music playlists for runs at the gym, tennis, reading music biographies, and watching documentaries when live news and sports isn't consuming him.

1 - Bill Gates says climate crisis won’t cause ‘humanity’s demise’ in call to shift focus to ‘improving lives’: Thoughts on this change in tone? Does it make people care less or does climate change being manageable motivate real action?
2 - Doug Ford calls on U.S. ambassador to apologize after tirade over anti-tariff ad: Is Ford just making things worse?
3 -Six players from U14 Ontario hockey team placed on probation amid investigation into bullying and sexual misconduct: When you hear about stuff like this does it make you want to keep your kids out of hockey? Does the fact that the players are so young change how seriously we should treat the offences or does it make it worse because they are still kids? Is placing the players on probation enough?

1 - Ontario proposes to rebate HST for some first-time homebuyers: Not perfect but it’s a start, should the rebate apply to all new primary residence purchases and not just first time homebuyers? Should homes over $1.5 million also qualify for the full rebate?

Discuss:
1 - Carney says trade talks with U.S. ‘had been making progress’ until Ontario anti-tariff ad: Everyone one blaming Ford for this, but if Carney saw it before it aired shouldn’t he have said not to, or did he know it would torpedo talks and he let it happen because they weren’t close to a deal and he buys more time?
2 - Ontario to scrap fixed election dates, raise donation limit to $5,000 under new bill. We don’t really have fixed election dates anyway - useless legislation, isn’t it? Both incumbent parties in Canada/Ontario couldn’t wait to get a new mandate almost exclusively based on Trump and tariffs.
3 - Alberta sends teachers back to work Wednesday, it seems. Can’t think of more “essential services” than a kid’s education - but it’s always a clash between a centrist/right provincial government and teacher unions now - is education just too political?
4 - Canada Could Get MLB Expansion Team, Manfred Says - better place - VANCOUVER or MONTREAL?
