The kids are back! It's ECQ 3.0 somewhat in the Philippines, homeschooling back on, and just generally staying home most of the time. Together with their Angkong and Dad, they take care of an Aquaponics set-up by feeding the fish and learning more about the plants we can care for. We are keeping it light, encouraging them to make time for jokes (even if they sometimes are too funny for being corny haha).

Ep 002 - Do your kids also watch Doctor Binocs? In the past (and under more normal situations) we did not want our kids to be too exposed to TV and gadgets while they are young. This is to protect their developing eyes and exposure to negative programming in the media. However and because of the pandemic, we reached a compromise and that is: to have a maximum of 30 minutes to an hour of Youtube kids / Khan Academy -- as long as they will learn something valuable from what they are watching. 

Lately, they have discovered Doctor Binocs on Youtube Kids and have been binging on episodes because "science" daw! Every day they are spewing out facts and science tidbits, many of which Daddy and Mommy do not even know, as you can probably tell from this episode Haha! 

So because we want them to 'process' what they are watching, here's our second episode, the output to the hours' worth of watching Doctor Binocs. We discuss 5 viruses, what we can do to protect ourselves, improve immunity, and also how we can respectfully behave around pets.

In our first episode, we try out the mix-minus feature of our recorder by giving a call or facetime to the moms in our life :D Some were not able to take our call, while a very special lola shared with us her life as a mom in the 1950's as well as her special memories of her very own mom -- we just live for their stories too!

Hello, Kamusta, Nihao….Welcome everyone to Zara & Xander’s Studio! This is a podcast for kids by kids - supervised by Mommy Madz and Daddy Andy.
