Lunch With My Younger Self
If you could have lunch with your younger self, what would the two of you discuss? Recently on Instagram – perhaps on TikTok too but this elder millennial doesn’t spend much time there – content creators have been posting Reels in which they imagine what it would be like to have lunch with their younger selves. Inspired, I hopped on this trend and made a Reel of my own. But even after my post, I couldn’t stop thinking about this concept. So, I journaled about it -- of course. And did a podcast episode about it too!     The Writeous Babe Podcast is a production of See Jane Write, a website and community for women who write. Learn more at seejanewritebham.com. Journaling My Way Back to Church
I got engaged! OK, not really. But getting a name tag from First Church Birmingham felt like an engagement ring. Let me explain. If you follow my IG Stories you know I've been searching for a new church since December of 2022 and as soon as the search began I immediately noticed how it felt a lot like dating.   I haven't officially become a member of First Church yet but I ordered a nametag to put a ring on it -- to signify that I plan to commit -- for real, for real -- soon. In the latest episode of The Writeous Babe Podcast, I'm sharing how journaling helped me in my church search and what I was looking for in a place of worship. I'm also doing the most with this extended metaphor of church hopping being like dating but I hope you will listen anyway.   The Writeous Babe Podcast is a production of See Jane Write, a website and community for women who write.
