Pushing B: Inside BLACK’s Sound Revolution & The Strategy to Dominate Uganda’s Gadget Market

What does it take to push a new brand into a competitive market and actually change the game?

In this episode, we’re Pushing B—pushing Business and the new gadget brand BLACK. I sit down with Roland, a key salesperson from BLACK, a trademark under Cannur Marketing that’s making waves in Uganda’s audio scene.

We go beyond the specs to uncover BLACK’s unique selling point and ground-level strategy. The conversation gets so insightful that I lay out a potential business strategy for the brand on the spot.

Perfect for:

  • Entrepreneurs learning how to launch and position new products
  • Investors scouting Uganda’s tech space
  • Early adopters who want the story behind the brands they support

Recorded live at their Acacia Mall branch in Kampala—a real-world case study on ambition, sound, and hustle.

Market Dater

Market Dater is my synopsis for the dating market in my hometown. I start off with Aaliyah’s “Try again” to hint at my long hiatus from podcasting, while still acting as a call to action for those who gave up on love, to give it another shot…this time with revised data 😏

The Acolyte of Faith
On this episode, I borrowed a few sound clips from The Acolyte TV series, to reimagine it from a faith perspective. I've been reading Kenneth E Haggin's book on Spiritual Growth, and I couldn't help but notice the similarities between the Childhood stage in the spiritual journey and the Acolyte TV show. I mean Osha is not a Jedi yet thus she's growing, her having a twin is the equivalent of the two spirits i.e the spirit of God and the Spirit of this world... Anyway, to keep it short, my theory is simple, at the core of the Star wars franchise is the theme of light vs darkness (Jedi v Sith order), in between are the people who walk paths that either lead them to salvation or damnation, those are the Acolytes. I'll leave the rest of it open to interpretation 😏 Tracks used Survivors Remorse ~Roddy Rich Divine endorsement ~ Ap Grace Lubega Rapture ~ Jremiah ft Phila In my head ~ Sauti Sol ft Khaligraph Jones
