For those who don’t know, Marc has been a cherished friend of my husband’s since 1993, and I’ve had the privilege of knowing him for the past 16 years—ever since he joined us for our wedding anniversary celebration. Marc’s career in motorsport is nothing short of extraordinary. He spent two seasons as a Formula 1 driver with the Minardi team (1999-2000), later stepping up as a reserve and test driver for the legendary Williams team in 2001. Marc even raced in three Grand Prix events with Williams! In 2004, he became a reserve and test driver for none other than Ferrari, a role he continues to hold today as a proud ambassador for Scuderia Ferrari. But it doesn’t stop there! Marc is also a familiar face as an F1 presenter for Sky Italy and reached a career pinnacle by winning the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2009 with Peugeot.
