In this episode, we talk to Tanisha Pandit about her organisation: Ritva Foundation. Tanisha Pandit hails from Bhopal and is currently pursuing a degree in BA Program from Delhi University. She has been active in spreading awareness about numerous social taboos. Her vision to end period poverty is what led to the formation of the Ritva Foundation. Through this non-profit organisation, she has taken a big stride towards normalising menstruation and eradication of period poverty. At the age of 47, Ms. Tokekar, a mother of two teenagers, has won four gold medals at the Open Asian Powerlifting Championships of AWPC/WPC at Chelyabinsk in Russia. Ms. Tokekar has bagged three gold medals at the World Powerlifting Championship held in Moscow. ​In Russia, she competed with 500 players in U67.5 Masters 2 Category and won the Gold medal in full powerlifting raw and bench. With a world record of bench press, she has made India proud. She also features in the upcoming book of Poorna Bell titled-Stronger. Tune in to hear this inspirational story!
