The Pursuit of Self-Actualization is officially back for season 4! This is the first episode of 2023 after a long and much needed hiatus. In this episode we breakdown the flawed logic behind the concept that "it is lonely at the top". We dive into the theme for this season, which is healing. This includes personal healing as well as healing of relationships and entire communities.
The truth is that sometimes healing requires rest, not repair. We breakdown what that means and provide actionable insights that you can implement today to better understand when you need to rest versus when you need to actively repair something that feels broken.
There are also some exciting announcements regarding the future development of the podcast and ways to get free access to resources that will eventually cost money.
We look forward to healing together from this episode forward in 2023.

Doug Noll started as an attorney before walking away from $10 million to pursue his passion and purpose: de-escalation and peacemaking. Doug is the co-founder of the Prison of Peace project. The project involves teaching inmates with life or long-term sentences the emotional skills and tools to be peace makers. The program has had outstanding results including reducing violence within prisons and a 0% recidivism rate among program graduates who get out on parole. Dante welcomes the audience back for the start of season 3. During the break between season 2 and the beginning of season 3, Dante discovered he missed an important piece of the story of the creation of the theory that defined "self-actualization". He uses this discovery to shift the direction of the show and focus on a new future for the show.
Tune in every Self-Actualization Sunday at 6pm for the rest of 2022 to catch every episode of season 3.
With gratitude,
Dante
Aluba is a Leadership Coach at Google who shares stories of how traveling abroad transformed his relationship with work and himself. The wisdom he's attained from various cultures converge into some powerful leadership lessons that he shares on this episode.
One of the most important takeaways is the importance of healing before leading. We all carry baggage with us but it is up to us to unpack it. A critical mistake many people and especially leaders make is expecting others to carry that baggage for us. Aluba shares his experience being a high-performing salesmen before burning out and reevaluating his priorities.
If you are interested in exploring how your culture impacts your sense of self, this episode is a must-listen.
A solocast reflecting on everything that has happened in season 2 and the lessons learned. Dante discusses how all of his success in both his business and personal life boil down to 1 simple philosophy: Jump first, learn to build your wings on the way down. So many people feel trapped because they are paralyzed by their own fear. Yet, failure isn't something people should avoid, it is actually something people should chase. Failure is how you learn. As Denzel Washington would say, "fail forward".
Dante shares anecdotes from his own life, including the beginning of this podcast, and how all of those leaps of faith led him to where he is now. Make sure to subscribe to the podcast, share this episode with anyone who needs to hear it, and leave a 5-star rating on whatever platform you listened to this episode on!

She talks about how to operate in your most productive state, also known as flow states. She shares what made her decide to shift careers and start her own venture and why she is so passionate about this.
Milena opened my eyes to some of the things I've been doing wrong and challenged me to re-evaluate my entire approach to life. This is an episode my high-aspiration listeners can't afford to miss.
