Emma had an unconventional route to her job but her love for dancing has always underpinned her life. As a child in Nigeria, dancing was her way to let loose and discover herself and even now she uses dancing to get breaks from her sometimes 24/7 corporate job.
As an outlet for life, she has joined dancing groups and performed on stages, been taught by the choreographers she had spent her whole life looking up to and you explored the different genres that allow her to move her body the way she likes.
Dancing is a confidence boost for Emma as it helps her own the stage or let the stress of work wash away from her. The Euphoric feeling dancing gives her is second to none.
Listen to hear about Emma's journey, her advice for new dancers and what she thinks about TikTok dances.

What started out as a way for Emeka to easily find badminton opponents has gotten a mind of its own and grown to a 90 members strong community in just a few weeks. Ready Rally’s reception has been strong, with tickets for weekly sessions selling out in minutes. Emeka played a lot as a child in Nigeria and wanted to rekindle his love for the game as a way to keep fit in the winter month yet most people in the group are completely new to the sport. He’s found that people are willing to pick up new things to meet new people and are seeing the same benefits he realised in his childhood.
He has little experience organising a society but members have also been happy to split the admin so it runs smoother. The success of Ready Rally shows that there is no hobby too niche to create community from. This episodes highlights the impact of creating what you think is missing from your life and the truth of the phrase, “if you build it, they will come”. This is a testament to how putting yourself and your passions out there attracts the right people to you and to not estimate how eager people can be to get involved in new things.
Listen to hear Emeka talk about where his inspiration for a community came from, his simple marketing tactic that proved too effective and how to start your own group with no experience.

Lami has always been a creative. From drawing comics in secondary to acting during university, he has always been interested to story telling. But it was when he got his first proper camera when he moved to the UK that he was able to take his love for imagery further. What started as a hobby outside of his finance role has lead to brands paying him and covering flights and hotels for him to shoot trips and experiences.
But before Dankie Sounds and Out Of Office Collective, there were his friends helping him market his work organically. They saw his talent first. They were his first customers for birthday shoots and parties and his willing models as he honed his technical skills. Though he makes money from his passion now, what underpins his photography is the joy it gives him. He will always try to make time for a collaboration that challenges him artistically because at the end of the day, he’s doing this because he loves it. No matter the work, time and learning he needs to put into it, he’s glad he can get paid doing something that brings him genuine joy while still keeping his corporate job.
He shares how others can reach their goals in photography (even with just their phones), how to get more experience and how he thinks his day job in finance makes him a better photographer.
